Zalgiris once again were left without head coach. Ramunas Butautas resigned from the head coach position after a string of poor results in LKL and Euroleague. The teams owner Vladimir Romanov also cut sport manager Algirdas Brazis . Ramunas Butautas started the season in Ukaine. He guided BC Donetsk but left the team in December. Ramunas Butautas was at the helm of the Lithuanian National Team at the 2009 EuroBasket in Poland
