SECOND MATCH, 18th May 2007 VALBONA - TIRANA 66-68
The second Play-off game between the two finalist teams Valbona -
Tirana was characterized by a hard athletic competition. Valbona in
fact lead during the first three periods, but in the fourth period,
the most beautiful one, the game was equalized. 4 sec. Before the
end of the match Valbona lead 66-65. Tirana got three free throws
because of a personal fault in behalf of Valbona player. Tirana
executes all three free throws as a result the chances go back to
Tirana team 66-68. The general result goes to 2-0 for Tirana.
THIRD MATCH, 22nd May 2007 TIRANA - VALBONA 62-66
The third Play-off game between Tirana and Valbona changes the
general result in 2-1 in favor of Tirana. The players of Valbona
played better than in the first two matches and won the first match
from three organized games.
FOURTH MATCH, 25th May 2007 VALBONA - TIRANA 58-57
The fourth game between these two finalist teams resulted in a
complete change of the situation; Valbona and Tirana draw in 2-2.
Valbona won by one point the fourth Play-offs games after a hard and
emotional match. The last point signed in the free throws line by
Valbona player concluded the match in favor of Valbona team that now
seems to have more chances for the championship.
FIFTH MATCH, 29th May 2007 TIRANA - VALBONA 67-74
Valbona overthrow the general result from 2-0 in favor of Tirana, in
2-3 for Valbona. This team won the fifth Play-offs game celebrating
the fifth Championship title.
Another Cup Same Result!! Valbona Winners Again!!!
Valbona is the winner of the Albanian Super Cup for the
4th year in a row. The team that has dominated
Albanian basketball for the past few years did not
disappoint on Sunday as they handed Tirana defeat on
their home court. Lead by
Vidan Mitku (200-F-83) 27 points, and
Bilali's 26, Valbona showed why they are the
favorite for the Championship again this year.
Despite the final score of 90-74 for
Valbona, the game was much closer. Tirana kept it close
most of the way behind the great play of Sokol Kasmi,
Mema, and Erkand Karaj. Valbona took hold of its final
lead with a score of 65-64 and did not look back.
After bot Mema and Karaj fouled out things started
falling apart for Tirana, and Valbona took a commanding
lead through the 4th quarter. After the game the FSHB
President Avni Ponari awarded the Super Cup trophy to
team captain Afrim Bilali and the team celebrated for a
short while before having to turn their attention back
to the playoffs.
Valbona,
champion for the fourth time Valbona is
once again the champion team of Albania for the season 2005-2006. The team from
Tropoja won the third final of the play-offs and with that achieved the title of
Albanian championship for the fourth consecutive time. The result 86:68 showed
again that Vllaznia had no answer for the game of Valbona.
Another trophy sponsored by Sigal and Avni Ponari, and well leaded by the
coach Adem Muhametaj. But those who made the difference in the court against
other squads were Bilalli, Kasmi, Shima, Skanja and Stevovic, also helped by
Byberi, Madani, Gjonaj and Gaci.
Only one loss in 33 games shows that Valbona has no rivals in Albanian
championship.

Tirana was played the Albanian supercup match. This final
match was discussed between Valbona and Dinamo, the two best
Albanian teams of the moment. Valbona won the match with the
