Rookie Ben Hansbrough unexpectedly leaves Krka - Jan 30, 2012

Ben Hansbrough (190-G-87, college: Notre Dame) left Krka Novo Mesto and flew back to the US, according to Slovenian media. The American point guard informed his team via text message that he has to leave due to personal problems. Hansbrough also added that he has problems with his ankle. Krka immediately reacted saying they will take all the necessary actions against the player, who has a valid deal until the end of the season. The team also informed media that all payments to Hansbrough were paid on time. Ben Hansbrough joined Krka in December from FC Bayern Muenchen. The rookie had 11.5 ppg, 2.8 apg and 2 rpg in four Adriatic league games. He also added 5.5 ppg and 2 apg for two games in EuroCup. Hansbrough graduated at Notre Dame University last year. He transferred to Notre Dame in 2008 from the Mississippi State University.

BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Division I) re-signed 28-year old Serbian forward Danilo Sibalic (204-103kg-88, agency: Beo Basket). He played there last season. In 15 Division I games he recorded 9.9ppg and 4.6rpg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Sibalic also played at Smederevo (KLS) in Serbian league that season. Big man Stefan Nastic (211-C-92, college: Stanford) is no longer a member of Crvena Zvezda Telekom Beograd. He and the ABA League champions have agreed to terminate their cooperation on mutual consent. The player arrived to Belgrade before the beginning of the season from the NCAA.
