Buducnost Voli locks Nikola Ivanovic to a long term deal - Feb 20, 2012

Buducnost Voli made important move for the future. The reigning Montenegrin champion penned a four-year deal with top prospect Nikola Ivanovic (187-G-94, agency: Beo Basket). The 18-year-old point guard joined Buducnost last summer and already has very important role in the team. For a player of his age Ivanovic has an impressive season in Adriatic league averaging 6.9 points, 1.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds for 19 games and he is the main candidate for the Newcomer of the Year award. He also shined in EuroCup with 5.5 ppg, 2 apg and 1.9 rpg. In a single Euroleague qualifications game young Ivanovic registered 14 points against Lietuvos Rytas. Nikola Ivanovic was named Eurobasket.com All-Montenegrin League Guard of the Year -11 and also Eurobasket.com All-Montenegrin League Most Improved Player of the Year -11. With U18 Montenegrin NT last summer he was awarded with Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U18 Division B 2nd Team. In 2010, Ivanovic had 22.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 5 apg and 3.1 spg at U16 EuroBasket in Bar. He was named All-Eurobasket.com European Championships U16 Best Guard -10.

Terrico White (196-G-90, college: Mississippi) will leave Radnicki Kragujevac in the summer. The player will not prolong his deal with the Serbian team and will try to make it to the NBA. Terrico White is having a solid season with Radnicki. The guard notches 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in A League. Ales Pipan is close to become the next head coach of Union Olimpija. The team is reportedly in final stage of the talks with the specialist to take over the bridge. Ales Pipan , if appointed, will replace Saso Filipovski . Ales Pipan is currently working with MZT Skopje. He led the team to the FYR Macedonian League Finals where they lead 2-0 against Kozuv. Ales Pipan is also the head coach of FYR Macedonian National Team. Previously the Slovenian specialist worked with Maribor, Lasko, Krka, Geoplin Slovan, Anwil Wloclawek, KK Zadar. He guided the Slovenian National Team in 2004/08 seasons. Ales Pipan also was at helm of the Polish National Team in 2011-12 seasons. Union Olimpija finished quite unsuccessful season in the second position in Slovenian Telemach League. They also failed to qualify for the Final Four at the Adriatic League.
