22-year old guard Jovana Popovic (173-G-90) had a great game in the last round for Vojvodina and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. She had the game-high 32 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Vojvodina in her team's victory, helping them to beat Vozdovac (#5, 5-3) 80-67. Vojvodina maintains the 6th position in Adriatic League . Vojvodina is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Popovic had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Vojvodina and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Popovic has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.8ppg) and averages solid 3.0spg.
Second best performed player last round was Jelena Velinovic (193-C-81) of Mladi Krajisnik. She is Serbian center in her first season at Mladi Krajisnik. In the last game Velinovic recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Mladi Krajisnik lost that game 66-81 to league's leader Partizan (#1, 8-0). Mladi Krajisnik is still in a red zone at 7th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Velinovic is a newcomer at Mladi Krajisnik and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.3ppg (#9). She also registered 10.5 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Natasa Kajtaz (168-G-92) of Sloboda (#8). Kajtaz scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds. She was a key player of Sloboda, leading her team to a 72-69 win against Ilrija (#11, 0-8). Sloboda can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Kajtaz she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Kajtaz has a very solid season. In 8 games in Adriatic League she scored 13.1ppg.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
