22-year old guard Jaka Blazic (196-G-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Un.Olimpija and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. He had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Un.Olimpija in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Siroki WWin (#12, 4-8) 83-80. Un.Olimpija maintains the 8th position in Adriatic League . Un.Olimpija is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game Blazic had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Un.Olimpija and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Blazic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 13.6ppg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Darko Planinic (211-C-90) of Siroki WWin. He is Croatian center in his 6th season at Siroki WWin. In the last game Planinic recorded impressive 20 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Siroki WWin was edged by the higher-ranked Un.Olimpija (#8, 6-6) 83-80. Siroki WWin is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Planinic is one of the most experienced players at Siroki WWin and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#1). He also registered 6.3 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Romeo Travis (201-PF-84) of Zadar (#13). Travis scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Zadar, leading his team to a 72-54 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Szolnok (#14, 2-10). The chances of Zadar not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Travis could try to bring Zadar's a little bit higher in the standings. Travis has individually a great season in Adriatic League. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 7.3rpg (4th best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Branko Jorovic (204-F-81) of Igokea - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists 5. Drew Gordon (205-F-90) of Partizan - 15 points and 16 rebounds 6. Terrico White (196-G-90) of Radnicki KG - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Marko Sutalo (193-G-83) of Siroki WWin - 19 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists 8.
