The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with extra overtimes, derby games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the Adriatic League took place in Aleksandrovac. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Serbian Zvezda (12-6) to first ranked Bosnian Igokea (15-3) 80-77 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zvezda. Igokea shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Zvezda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Serbian power forward Marko Brkic (206-82, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian forward Branko Jorovic (204-81, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Boris Savovic (210-87, agency: Beo Basket) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Zvezda. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Igokea have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-3 record. Zvezda at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Partizan. Igokea are looking forward to face Un.Olimpija (#8) in Ljubljana in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zvezda will play at home against MZT Skopje (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
One of the most interesting games of round 18 was a derby match between two teams from Croatia. Thirteenth ranked KK Zadar edged visiting Cibona (6-12) 78-76. Swingman Ante Delas (200-88) scored 12 points to lead the charge for the winners and Toni Prostran chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Davor Kus (192-78, agency: Interperformances) with 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KK Zadar (7-11) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with KK Split. Cibona lost third consecutive game. Defending Croatian champion dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Siroki WWin. KK Zadar will play against higher ranked Cedevita (#4) in Zagreb in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cibona will play on the road against HKK Siroki WWin (#13) in Siroki Brijeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Serbian Partizan (12-6) which hosted in Beograd 4th ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (10-8). Third ranked Partizan managed to get a 13-point victory 63-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Buducnost. Drew Gordon notched 11 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 16 points by Aleksa Popovic did not help to save the game for Buducnost. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Serbian champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Crvena Zvezda. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Partizan will meet Radnicki KG (#6) in the next round. Buducnost will play against Krka in Novo Mesto and hope to secure a win.
Croatian KK Split (#10) forced the game against FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (#6) into an overtime, but lost by nine points 84-93. The best player for the winners was Todor Gecevski who scored 19 points. KK Split's coach Mladen Erjavec rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending FYR Macedonian champion (10-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. KK Split at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. MZT Skopje's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Zvezda in Beograd and it may be the game of the week. KK Split will play at home against Szolnok (#14) in Szolnok.
Important game to mention about took place in Novo Mesto. Ninth ranked Slovenian Krka (8-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 12th ranked Bosnian HKK Siroki WWin (6-12) 74-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of HKK Siroki WWin. It was a good game for Jaka Klobucar who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Krka have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Slovenian champion maintains ninth position with 8-10 record. Defending Bosnian champion HKK Siroki WWin keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Krka will face higher ranked Buducnost (#5) in Podgorica in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. HKK Siroki WWin will play at home against Cibona (#12) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 18 Un.Olimpija was beaten by Cedevita on the road 73-67. Bottom-ranked Szolnok lost to Radnicki KG on its own court 66-78.
The most impressive performance of 18th round was 22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists by Aleksandar Capin of Radnicki KG.



Krka - Siroki WWin 74-71

Important game to mention about took place in Novo Mesto. Ninth ranked Slovenian Krka (8-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 12th ranked Bosnian HKK Siroki WWin (6-12) 74-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of HKK Siroki WWin. HKK Siroki WWin was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of Krka, which allowed them to win the game. HKK Siroki WWin was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Jaka Klobucar (198-87) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (193-83, agency: BeoExcell) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for HKK Siroki WWin. Partizan - Buducnost 63-50

An interesting game for Serbian Partizan (12-6) which hosted in Beograd 4th ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (10-8). Third ranked Partizan managed to get a 13-point victory 63-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Buducnost. The game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Buducnost managed to win third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Buducnost 37-22 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Drew Gordon (205-90, college: N.Mexico) notched 11 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and center Dejan Musli (213-91, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Even 16 points by Aleksa Popovic (201-87) did not help to save the game for Buducnost. Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Everything could happen in Zagreb at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Croatian Cedevita and 8th ranked Slovenian Un.Olimpija had identical 9-8 record. This time Cedevita used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ljubljana 73-67 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-67. Cedevita looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Bosnian-Croatian center Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 8 rebounds. FYR Macedonian-Slovenian point guard Vlado Ilievski (190-80, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Dino Muric (200-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Finnish guard Sasu Salin (192-91) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Un.Olimpija. Croatian KK Split (#10) forced the game against FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (#6) into an overtime, but lost by nine points 84-93. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KK Split won third quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where KK Split used huge pressure winning it 21-17 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 5-14. 25 personal fouls committed by KK Split helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Todor Gecevski (209-77, agency: Interperformances) who scored 19 points. Gjorji Cekovski (203-79) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Srdan Subotic (190-80) who recorded 19 points and 5 assists and forward Vedran Vukusic (206-82, college: Northwestern) added 23 points respectively.
