Albania surprised the hosts in the beginning with 3:0, while Romania did not allow them to be in front anymore after that. The hosts created an 11-0 run and then finished the opening quarter at 32:20. Rares Mandache (190-G-87) ruined the guests for 42:22 and Titus Nicoara (200-F-88, agency: Interperformances) made it 56:26. Shima was the last to score at the half for 58:35. Later in the game Romania controlled the game and never looked behind. Albania managed only to win the third quarter for 79:58 after 30 minutes. With 21-11 Romania finished the game and the Qualifying Round. Chetreanu gave his team 100th points in the game. Titus Nicoara top-scored for the winners with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Vlad Moldoveanu (208-F-88) and Mihai Silvasan (200-F-85, agency: Court Side) delivered 18 each, while Rares Mandache posted 16. Ersid Luca (208-C-81) collected 24 points and 12 boards in the losing case, whilst Hysenagolli posted 12. Belarus clinched first place in Group B in EuroBasket Division B and advanced to the play-offs.Winners of all six games before falling at home to Switzerland on Saturday, Aliaksandr Papkou's team beat at home Cyprus 77:70. Belarus will now play in the playoffs for the chance to earn Division A spot.

The National Team of Belarus improved to 6-1 record at the Group B of EuroBasket Division B. The team survived a battle in Korca to beat local Albania 76:75 for another win. The hosts meanwhile dropped to 2-5 record on the bottom of the group.

The National Team of Belarus improved to 6-1 record at the Group B of EuroBasket Division B. The team survived a battle in Korca to beat local Albania 76:75 for another win. The hosts meanwhile dropped to 2-5 record on the bottom of the group. Luca made a jump-shot for the biggest 40:23 advantage. Alexander Kudrautsau (190-G-80) closed his team 8-0 run for 40:31 at the halftime. In the third period as well as in the last Belarus reduced the gap. Alexander Kudrautsau tied the game at 46:46 and Luca still kept the hosts in front at 53:50 after three quarters. The score was even at 72:72 and 74:74. Erkand Karaj (188-G-82) gave his team the last 75:74 lead, while Pavel Ulyanko (204-F/C-79) made a dunk for 76:75 victory. Alexander Kudrautsau led the way with 25 points. Pavel Ulyanko and Siarhei Charykau followed for the favorites with 10 points apiece. Erkand Karaj poured in 22 points in the losing effort, Luca notched 19 and Hysenagolli scored 17. In another game of the group Switzerland edged Romania 81:69 at the Group B of EuroBasket Division B. The start of the game was too productive for the hosts that satisfied the local fans in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

Alexis Liatsos (200-F-80, college: Ohio) and Andreas Sizopoulos (189-G-83, agency: High Post Agency) nailed back-to-back trebles as the margin grew at 15 points early in the second stanza. Cyprus maintained the margin throughout the second stanza and headed into the dressing room up by 17 points. Alexis Liatsos opened the second half with a trey as Cyprus reached a 20-point lead. The pressure just grew on the visitors and Cyprus posted a 66:41 lead after thirty minutes of action. Kaskiris and Christopher Razis (193-F-89) made it 70:41 for the home team early in the fourth frame and the Cypriot team never looked back en route to the win. Andreas Sizopoulos and Laitsos nailed 14 points each for Cyprus. Panagiotis Trisokkas (206-C-80, agency: High Post Agency) and Christopher Razis added 12 points each in the victory. Ersid Luca (208-C-81) answered with 13 points for Albania. Afrim Bilali (198-G-79) finished with 10 points in defeat.
