Belarus earned the second win at the 2011 European Championship in Division B Qualifying Round. The victory propelled Belarus to 2-4 record in Group B. Pavel Ulyanko (204-F/C-79) scored 14 points to lead the effort. Albania fell at 0-6 record in the ladder. It was never an easy battle for Belarus. The hosts stayed in charge throughout the first half. Albania posted a 26:23 lead at the first break. Albania used a 12:0 run midway through the second quarter to ensure a 40:28 advantage. Belarus cut the deficit but still trailed by 4 points at the interval 43:47. Albania did not slow down keeping the visitors at distance throughout the third term. The hosts entered the fourth frame up by 8 points 58:50. Belarus needed a 10:1 run midway through the fourth period to surge ahead 66:65. The lead then changed hands for several times before Paliaschuk, Charykau and Lashkevich sealed the winning outcome for Belarus. Dzianis Korshuk (201-F-78, agency: Agency No 10) delivered 13 points, while Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-G-80) accounted for 12 in the victory. Ermal Kurtoglu (208-C-80, agency: Beo Basket) answered with game-high 20 points and 8 rebounds for Belarus. Franko Bushati (188-G-85) netted 19 points and issued 5 assists in the loss.

Sport Klub Tirana (Superliga) agreed terms with 33-year old American power forward Manuel Johnson (203-109kg-83, college: Texas A&M - Commerce). He played last season at Teodo Tivat in Montenegrin Erste Liga. In 24 games he had 10.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5spg. Johnson helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com Montenegrin League All-Imports Team. Johnson also played 14 games in Balkan League where he recorded 12.3ppg, 7.5rpg (#5 in the league), 1.3apg and 1.3spg. It was another spectacular season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Balkan League Honorable Mention. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Johnson played in the final of LSC Tournament in 2008. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Montenegrin League Import Player of the Year in 2014. Johnson has played also professionally in Portugal (Academica and Sampaense). He attended Texas A&M - Commerce until 2008 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.

Sport Klub Tirana is the newest member of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Albanian club sent today the necessary documents for registration and will take part of the competition in the upcoming season. Sport Klub Tirana will be second team from Albania to play in BIBL. Back in season 2014/2015 KS Vllaznia made its debut but unfortunately for them didnt get a single win. Of course the team from the capital of the country will try to do better and bring joy to the local fans. Sport Klub Tirana is one of the most popular and successful clubs in Albania. Tirana is 12 times champion and 12 times winner of the Cup. The last title dates back to 2015 while last season the team lost in the semifinals.
