Finland celebrated the first win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They marched past Albania in Helsinki. Petteri Koponen (194-PG-88) scored 29 points to lead the hosts. Albania fell at 0-2 record after the loss.
Finland set the tone in the opening quarter. The hosts unloaded 37 points to take 19-point lead at the first break. Finland stayed dominant in the second quarter. The home team extended their lead to 31-point mark at the interval. Albania erupted for 30 points in the third term but cut the deficit by just one point at the final intermission. Finland adjusted defence in the fourth term limiting Albania to 17 points and claiming an easy victory at the end. Shawn Huff (198-SF-84, college: Valparaiso) posted 19 points, while Mikko Koivisto (194-G-87, college: NC-Greensboro) added 11 points for the winners. Gerti Shima (202-PF-86) answered with 23 points and 10 rebounds for Albania. Klaudio Ndoja (198-SG-85) had 18 points in the loss.

Superliga Round 13: SK Tirana defeat Teuta in the game between Top 4 teams - 4 days ago
An interesting game for SK Tirana (12-1) which hosted in Tirana their biggest opponent Teuta (9-4). First ranked SK Tirana had an easy win 106-58. The game without a history. SK Tirana led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Teuta to just 6 points in second quarter.
