Poland-Albania 89:59

Poland clinched their place in the EuroBasket field in Slovenia as they finished the Qualification Round with 89:59 win over Albania. Poland grabbed 6-2 record on top of Group E and qualified to EuroBasket 2013.
Albania surprised the hosts in Lublin in the first period taking 19-18 lead. Gerti Shima (202-PF-86) brought 22:20 but it was the last lead for Albania. Poland pushed the tempo for good and dominated the rest of the game. They won the second frame 24-15 and added 20-8 in the third quarter. Moreover Poland needed 27-17 in the last stanza for the comfortable victory.
Marcin Gortat (211-C-84) stepped up with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Przemyslaw Zamojski (194-SG-86, agency: Alti Sport, college: Independence CC) nailed 13. Michal Ignerski (207-F-80, agency: Stanley International, college: Mississippi St.) followed them with 11 points in a win. Klaudio Ndoja (198-SG-85) finished the game with 18 points in the losing effort and Gerti Shima collected 16 points and 11 boards in defeat. Endrit Hysenagolli (204-C-88) scored 13 points as Albania is with 0-7 record on the bottom.

An interesting game for SK Tirana (12-1) which hosted in Tirana their biggest opponent Teuta (9-4). First ranked SK Tirana had an easy win 106-58. The game without a history. SK Tirana led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Teuta to just 6 points in second quarter.
