Here is the weekly review of the top performing Albanian players, who play currently abroad.

#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Klaudio Ndoja (198-85, currently plays in Italy). He led Enel Brindisi to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Angelico Biella (3-9) crushing them 94-59 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. Ndoja scored 13 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 21 minutes on the court. Enel Brindisi (7-5) is placed sixth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Ndoja averages: 5.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 2FGP: 43.8%, 3FGP: 37.1% and FT: 68.4% in the 12 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Albanian and Italian. Ndoja is currently a member of the Albanian senior national team.

#2. Second place goes to an international center Ermal Kuqo (208-80, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey). He contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Mersin (5-5) crushing them 104-71 in the Turkish TBL last Monday. Kuqo recorded 6 points. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (10-2) is placed third in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kuqo's overall stats this season are: 3.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 2FGP: 52.9% and FT: 77.8%. He is another player who holds two passports: Albanian and Turkish. Kuqo played for the Albanian national team in 2011.

#3. The Albanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Franko Bushati (190-85, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Italy). He contributed to a Givova Scafati's victory against one of league's weakest teams Aget Service IM (3-9) 89-81 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) on Sunday night. Bushati scored 8 points and added 3 passes in 15 minutes. Givova Scafati Basket (9-3) is placed first in the Lega2. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Bushati's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 5.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 43.6%, 3FGP: 22.2% and FT: 73.5% in the 12 games. Bushati has both Albanian and Italian nationalities. He is also a member of the Albanian senior national team.

Ersid Luca

#4. Center Ersid Luca (212-81, currently plays in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese Division A could not help one of league's weakest teams Hoops Club (2-6) to beat Bejjeh (3-6). Luca scored 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Hoops Club was defeated 70-65 on the road by the higher-ranked Bejjeh (#7). His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Luca is ranked fourth on the list of the best rebounders in the league. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.1ppg, 11.0rpg and 1.3apg. Luca also holds two passports: Serbian and Albanian. He is also Albanian national team player.

Superliga Round 1 of Finals. Vllaznia celebrate first victory - May 22, 2016

Vllaznia - Teuta 64-60 Vllaznia opened win count in Superliga Finals. They held off Teuta in the opener. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-6. But Teuta won second period 20-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vllaznia Shkodra dominated on the defensive end, holding Teuta to just 6 points in first quarter. Game 2 is scheduled for May 25th.   [read more]
Superliga Round 2 of Semi-Finals. Teuta and Vllaznia enter Finals - May 15, 2016

Teuta - Kamza Basket 68-64 Teuta came up with the biggest upset in the playoffs so far. The fourth-ranked team eliminated the regular season winners Kamza Basket. Teuta used just two games to advance into Finals. They followed a road win with a tough home victory to complete the sweep. Teuta will now face Vllaznia for the trophy. Kamza Basket - Teuta 74-80 Teuta surged ahead in the semifinal series. They shocked Kamza Basket on the road in the opener. Kamza Basket trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 26-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-80 at the end of the game. Vllaznia - SK Tirana 81-63 Vllaznia got to a confident start to their playoff campaign. They faced SK Tirana in the semifinal series opener.
