Here is the weekly review of the top performing Albanian players, who play currently abroad.

Kevin Dillard
Kevin Dillard
   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton, currently plays in Australia). He led New Zealand Breakers to a victory over the closely-ranked United (13-15) 88-70 in the Australian NBL in Friday night's game. Dillard was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in 36 minutes on the court. New Zealand Breakers (14-14) are placed fifth in the NBL. The Regular Season already ended. Dillard has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 4.8apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 46.1%, 3FGP: 38.2% and FT: 85.7% in nine games he played so far. Dillard is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Albanian senior national team. Strangely Dillard has never played in Albania.

Franko Bushati
Franko Bushati
   #2. Second place goes to former international shooting guard Franko Bushati (189-85, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Italy). He managed to help Germani Basket Brescia to win against the fourth-ranked Banco di Srd (11-8) 56-48 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. Bushati scored 5 points. Germani Basket Brescia (9-10) is placed tenth in the Serie A. This season Bushati averages only 2.4ppg, 2FGP: 44.0%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 53.8%. He has a dual citizenship: Albanian and Italian. Bushati played for the Albanian national team in 2012.

Rashaun Broadus

   #3. The Albanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international point guard Rashaun Broadus (183-84, agency: Octagon Europe, college: BYU, currently plays in Germany). Broadus could not help SC Rasta Vechta (1-20) to beat Walter Tigers (8-16). He scored 7 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 9 assists. SC Rasta Vechta was defeated 86-77 on the road by the higher-ranked Walter Tigers (#12). It was SC Rasta Vechta's 15th consecutive loss in a row. Broadus' overall stats this season are: 5.0ppg, 1.8rpg, 5.8apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 28.6% and FT: 75.0%. He is a naturalized American. Broadus is also a member of the Albanian senior national team. Apparently he has never played in Albania.

   #4. Small forward Celis Taflaj (201-98, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Viola RC (0-0) in their game against Agrigento (12-9) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). Taflaj did not have that impressive stats last Sunday. He scored only 2 points in 11 minutes. The tenth-placed Viola RC was crushed 90-58 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#7) Agrigento in the West group. It's Taflaj's first season with the team. This year Taflaj's overall stats are: 1.2ppg and 1.4rpg in 17 games. He is also Albanian national team player.

Vildan Mitku
Vildan Mitku
   #5. Former international forward Vildan Mitku (200-83, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Tuebingen II (7-12) in their game against Limburg (14-5) in the German Regionalliga (fourth division). Mitku scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. But Tuebingen II (#10) was defeated 75-68 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Limburg in the South-West group. Mitku is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Tuebingen II's roster. This season he has very high stats. Mitku averages: 16.6ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6spg. He used to play for the Albanian national team six years ago.

   #6. Center Frenki Lilaj (201-98, currently plays in Czech Republic) couldn't help GBA Sparta (5-13) in their game against Sokol Pisek (8-11) in the Czech Republic 1Liga (second division). Lilaj recorded 5 points in 29 minutes. GBA Sparta (#9) was crushed 96-52 in Pisek by the higher-ranked (#7) Sokol in the Group A. It was GBA Sparta's sixth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. This year Lilaj's total stats are: 2.0ppg and 1.7rpg in six games. He is U18 international player who is currently on the Albanian National Team roster.

   #1. Erjon Kastrati (198-SG-94, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to Krka's victory against the closely-ranked Hopsi Polzela (12-6) 70-64 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM on Wednesday night. He scored 6 points in 15 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Krka Novo Mesto (15-4) is placed second in the Liga Nova KBM. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Kastrati's fifth season with the team. This year Kastrati's overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.3apg in 16 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Kosovan and Albanian.

   #2. Klaudio Patani (197-F/C-96, currently plays in Italy). Patani could not help Isernia (6-13) to beat Venafro (3-14). He scored 5 points. Isernia (#12) was defeated 74-70 on the road by the lower-ranked Venafro (#15) in the Group D. Patani has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 8.3rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Albanian and Italian.

Fifth-ranked Ardhmeria (5-12) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Vllaznia Shkodra (12-5) on Sunday. The visitors from Shkodra managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. Spiro Leka is the new head coach of Consultinvest VL Pesaro. The news was made official after the club and former head coach, Piero Bucchi, agreed to mutually part ways earlier this month.
