We bring you last week's top performances from Albanians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Elvisi Dusha (188-94, currently plays in United Kingdom). Dusha could not help Plymouth Raiders (12-11) to beat Sheffield Sharks (14-9). He scored 6 points. Plymouth Raiders was defeated 87-81 on the road by the higher-ranked Sheffield Sharks (#4). This season Dusha averages: 2.3ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 16.7%. He has a dual citizenship: Albanian and British. Despite Dusha played previously for the British U20 national team, he is currently a member of the Albanian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international shooting guard Franko Bushati (189-85, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Italy). Bushati managed to help Germani Basket Brescia in a victory against the third-ranked Scandone AV (13-8) 91-87 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. He scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. Germani Basket Brescia (10-11) is placed eighth in the Serie A. This year Bushati averages just 2.4ppg, 2FGP: 44.0%, 3FGP: 24.1% and FT: 53.3% in 21 games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Albanian and Italian. Bushati played for the Albanian national team in 2012.

   #3. The Albanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international point guard Rashaun Broadus (183-84, agency: Octagon Europe, college: BYU, currently plays in Germany). He was not able to help SC Rasta Vechta in their game against ratiopharm Ulm (23-0) in the German BBL. Broadus' contribution was not very remarkable in Saturday's game. He scored only 2 points. SC Rasta Vechta was defeated 75-70 in Ulm by the leading ratiopharm. It was SC Rasta Vechta's 17th consecutive loss in a row. Broadus' overall stats this season are: 4.6ppg, 1.3rpg, 4.9apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 35.7%, 3FGP: 15.8%. He is a naturalized American. Broadus is also a member of the Albanian senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Albania.

Vildan Mitku

   #4. Forward Vildan Mitku (200-83, currently plays in Germany) led Tuebingen II to a surprising victory over the fourth-ranked Koblenz (14-8) 81-70 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Mitku scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. SV 03 Tuebingen 2nd team (8-14) is placed tenth in South-West group. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Mitku's sixth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Mitku averages: 16.5ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.6apg and 1.4spg. He used to play for the Albanian national team back in 2011.

   #5. U18 international center Frenki Lilaj (201-98, currently plays in Czech Republic) was not able to secure a victory for GBA Sparta (5-15) in their game against BK Prostejov B (10-10) in the Czech Republic 1Liga (second division). Lilaj recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 14 minutes. The sixth-placed GBA Sparta (5-15) lost 83-89 at home to the leading BK Prostejov B in the Places 13-20 group. It was GBA Sparta's eighth consecutive loss in a row. This year Lilaj's overall stats are: 2.3ppg and 2.0rpg in seven games. He plays currently for the Albanian U18 national team.

   #1. Erjon Kastrati (198-SG-94, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Portoroz (1-19) crushing them 98-65 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM in Sunday night's game. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. Krka Novo Mesto (16-5) is placed third in the Liga Nova KBM. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Kastrati's fifth season with the team. This year Kastrati averages: 9.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3apg in 18 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Kosovan and Albanian.

   #2. Shkelzen Bekteshi (185-G-91, currently plays in Germany) managed to help VfL Kirchheim Knights in a victory against the ninth-ranked White Wings (13-13) 88-72 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday. Bekteshi scored only 2 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals in 20 minutes. VfL Kirchheim Knights (18-8) is placed third in the ProA. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Bekteshi's seventh season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 3.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.3spg in four games. Bekteshi is another player who holds two passports: Albanian and German.

   #3. Klaudio Patani (197-F/C-96, currently plays in Italy). Patani could not help Isernia (7-14) to beat Giulianova (8-13). He recorded 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. But Isernia (#12) was badly defeated 76-57 on the road by the higher-ranked Giulianova (#10) in the Group D. Patani's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg and 7.6rpg. He has both Albanian and Italian nationalities.

Il Globo Basket Isernia (Serie B) confirmed in their roster 21-year old Albanian international power forward Klaudio Patani (197-102kg-96). He has played there for the last two seasons. In 32 Serie B games he had 10.1ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.3spg last season. Patani was named to Albanian National Team in 2017. He was called to Albanian Senior National Team this year. Defending champion Sport Klub Tirana (Superliga) re-signed experienced 54-year old Montenegrin coach Nikola Milatovic.He helped them to win the league title and the Supercup. Milatovic used to coach Albanian U16 National Team back in 2014. He has coached also professionally for other Montenegrin teams like Mogren and Ulcinj.
