Netherlands U18-Armenia U18 103:40(32-15, 24-11, 21-8, 26-6)

Netherlands U18 did not have many troubles in the first game of the U18 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team that appeared in the court aganst them was Armenia. The latter did their best but were smashed 103:40. Joshua Kramer (192-F-90) led the way with 21 points. Bob van den Enden (-89) ended up with 19, as Kherrazi scored 18 points and made 14 rebounds. Gevorg Mayilyan (-90) posted 12 in the losing effort.

Netherlands took a lead from the first minuutes of the game. Armenia saw only one time a tie when Andranik Novents (-89) tied at 2-2. It took Armenia more than 5 minutes to score another 2 points. The first quarter was ended as the teams had 32:15 for the favorites.
Kherrazi increased the lead to 20 points after he made a jump-shot. It was him again who made the difference 30 points in the end of the half.
In the second half instead of opened game Netherlands paid too much attention in defense. As a result the team left Armenia in 8 in the third and 6 in the last. Netherlands overwhelmed Armenia 103:40 to take the first spot in the group.

Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) signed 26-year old Belarusian international forward Viktor Ovsepyan (204-91) from Vitebsk OBK-Voktsor. In 32 Premier League games he had 11.0ppg, 6.9rpg, 3.0apg and 1.9spg last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Honorable Mention. Ovsepyan also spent pre-season at Urartu Yerevan (Superleague 1) in Russia that year. Crelan Okapi Aalstar (Euromillions League) agreed terms with 23-year old Armenian international forward Andrew Chrabascz (203-93kg-94). Chrabascz is a dual citizen owning also American passport. He just graduated from Butler (NCAA). Chrabascz has played there for the last four years. In 34 games he had 11.4ppg, 4.6rpg and 3.1apg last season.
