Netherlands U18-Armenia U18 103:40(32-15, 24-11, 21-8, 26-6)

Netherlands U18 did not have many troubles in the first game of the U18 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team that appeared in the court aganst them was Armenia. The latter did their best but were smashed 103:40. Joshua Kramer (192-F-90) led the way with 21 points. Bob van den Enden (-89) ended up with 19, as Kherrazi scored 18 points and made 14 rebounds. Gevorg Mayilyan (-90) posted 12 in the losing effort.

Netherlands took a lead from the first minuutes of the game. Armenia saw only one time a tie when Andranik Novents (-89) tied at 2-2. It took Armenia more than 5 minutes to score another 2 points. The first quarter was ended as the teams had 32:15 for the favorites.
Kherrazi increased the lead to 20 points after he made a jump-shot. It was him again who made the difference 30 points in the end of the half.
In the second half instead of opened game Netherlands paid too much attention in defense. As a result the team left Armenia in 8 in the third and 6 in the last. Netherlands overwhelmed Armenia 103:40 to take the first spot in the group.

Urartu adds Zakharov to their roster - 29 days ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) added to their roster 21-year old Armenian swingman Nikita Zakharov (200-86kg-95). He played last season at Arsenal in the Superleague 2. In 27 games he had 3.9ppg and 2.4rpg. Zakharov represented Armenia at the European Championships U20 Division B in Szekesfehervar (Hungary) last year. Andrey Konstantinov agreed terms with Urartu - 1 month ago

Superleague 1 newcomer BC Urartu strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old Armenian international forward Andrey Konstantinov (196-95). He played most recently at Arsenal in the Superleague 2, but left the team in Nov.'15. But in 7 games he recorded just 0.9ppg and 1.4rpg last season. Pogosian starts his pro career at Urartu - 1 month ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) agreed terms with 21-year old Armenian international forward Mikael Pogosian (203-95). Pogosian is a dual citizen owning also Russian passport. He just graduated from Thiel (NCAA3). Pogosian has played there for the last three years. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
