Netherlands U18-Armenia U18 103:40(32-15, 24-11, 21-8, 26-6)

Netherlands U18 did not have many troubles in the first game of the U18 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team that appeared in the court aganst them was Armenia. The latter did their best but were smashed 103:40. Joshua Kramer (192-F-90) led the way with 21 points. Bob van den Enden (-89) ended up with 19, as Kherrazi scored 18 points and made 14 rebounds. Gevorg Mayilyan (-90) posted 12 in the losing effort.

Netherlands took a lead from the first minuutes of the game. Armenia saw only one time a tie when Andranik Novents (-89) tied at 2-2. It took Armenia more than 5 minutes to score another 2 points. The first quarter was ended as the teams had 32:15 for the favorites.
Kherrazi increased the lead to 20 points after he made a jump-shot. It was him again who made the difference 30 points in the end of the half.
In the second half instead of opened game Netherlands paid too much attention in defense. As a result the team left Armenia in 8 in the third and 6 in the last. Netherlands overwhelmed Armenia 103:40 to take the first spot in the group.

UConn center Steven Enoch(6'11''-F-97) has never been to Armenia, or anywhere overseas for that matter. But next month, the 6-foot-11 sophomore from Norwalk will be travelling to Greece to play for the U-20 Armenian national team at the Division B European Championships. Bryant Dunston to play for Armenian NT - 1 month ago

Bryant Dunston (203-C-86) is among the Armenian National Team training camp invitees. The center has agreed to play for Armenia in the upcoming European Championship for Small Countries. Armenia will gather on June 1 and soon after will travel to Moldova to take part in the international friendly tournament. Bryant Dunston spent the last season with Anadolu Efes in Turkey. Trefl Sopot (TBL) signed 25-year old American point guard Anthony Ireland (175-79kg-91, college: Loyola Mary). He just played at Aragatz in Armenian D1 league. Ireland also played at Arkadikos (A2) in Greek league earlier that season. In 8 D1 games he had 7.0ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.6apg this season.
