Netherlands U18-Armenia U18 103:40(32-15, 24-11, 21-8, 26-6)

Netherlands U18 did not have many troubles in the first game of the U18 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team that appeared in the court aganst them was Armenia. The latter did their best but were smashed 103:40. Joshua Kramer (192-F-90) led the way with 21 points. Bob van den Enden (-89) ended up with 19, as Kherrazi scored 18 points and made 14 rebounds. Gevorg Mayilyan (-90) posted 12 in the losing effort.

Netherlands took a lead from the first minuutes of the game. Armenia saw only one time a tie when Andranik Novents (-89) tied at 2-2. It took Armenia more than 5 minutes to score another 2 points. The first quarter was ended as the teams had 32:15 for the favorites.
Kherrazi increased the lead to 20 points after he made a jump-shot. It was him again who made the difference 30 points in the end of the half.
In the second half instead of opened game Netherlands paid too much attention in defense. As a result the team left Armenia in 8 in the third and 6 in the last. Netherlands overwhelmed Armenia 103:40 to take the first spot in the group.

Superleague 1 newcomer Arrat Yerevan tabbed 24-year old Armenian international swingman Artur Khachaturian (194-85kg-92). The last time (12-14) he played at SC Kryvbas in Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport. Khachaturian also represented Armenia at the European Championship for Small Countries in Moldova this year. His team won Gold and he averaged 10.0ppg at the event. Superleague 1 newcomer Arrat Yerevan added to their roster 30-year old Armenian international point guard Amiran Amirkhanov (187-85kg-86). He has played for the last two seasons at Almat.Legion in Kazakhstan D1 league. In 6 games he recorded 5.2ppg, 2.5rpg and 5.2apg in 2014-15 season. The previous (13-14) season Amirkhanov played at AltajBasket (Superleague) where in 17 games he averaged 3.1ppg and 1.0apg. Superleague 1 newcomer Arrat Yerevan added to their roster 30-year old American point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst). He played last season at ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in French ProA. Smith managed to play in three leagues last year. In three ProA games he recorded 4.3ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.3apg.
