Basketball teams-participants in the championships of Armenia among men and women have been selected.As compared with last year, the number of men teams has increased up to seven. Two new teams have been included on the list of participants: Vanadzor and Artik teams. Fima will not take part in the tournament this year.

Five women teams will take part in the championship. Only one change has been made in the list of the participants as compared with last year i.e. Ararat has left the championship. A second team from Gyumri of the same name compensated the loss in number.

Armenian Basketball Federation press-service told PanARMENIAN.Net, the championships will start in April, but the exact dates havent been set yet.

Urartu adds Zakharov to their roster - 3 months ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) added to their roster 21-year old Armenian swingman Nikita Zakharov (200-86kg-95). He played last season at Arsenal in the Superleague 2. In 27 games he had 3.9ppg and 2.4rpg. Zakharov represented Armenia at the European Championships U20 Division B in Szekesfehervar (Hungary) last year. Andrey Konstantinov agreed terms with Urartu - 4 months ago

Superleague 1 newcomer BC Urartu strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old Armenian international forward Andrey Konstantinov (196-95). He played most recently at Arsenal in the Superleague 2, but left the team in Nov.'15. But in 7 games he recorded just 0.9ppg and 1.4rpg last season. Pogosian starts his pro career at Urartu - 4 months ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) agreed terms with 21-year old Armenian international forward Mikael Pogosian (203-95). Pogosian is a dual citizen owning also Russian passport. He just graduated from Thiel (NCAA3). Pogosian has played there for the last three years. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
