Armenia U16-Sweden U16 79:85

Sweden wins over Armenia for the second win in Group C of the U16 European Championship in Division B. The Scandinavian team won 85:79 and improved to 2-1 record. Armenia suffered the second loss and dropped to 1-2 record.
It was the game for the second victory in the tournament and both teams desired to improve to the positive record. Sweden started with 18-16 as Johansson made a free throw at the end of the quarter. The second period was a nightmare for Armenia that failed with 13-29. The latter tried to catch up with the opponents in the second half but could not tie the game. Armenia won the third period 28-20 and added 22-18 in the last stanza, but lost by 6 points.
Ludvig Hakanson (187-PG-96) paced all the winners with 19 points, while Filip Kovacek (180-PG-95) added 13. Eduardo Mondolfi (197-F-95) and David Terins (192-G-95) followed them with 9 points apiece for the second victory. Vladimir Radivoevich (95) replied with 24 points and massive 18 rebounds in defeat and Andrey Konstantinov (95) scored 19. Sergei Pogosyan (95) nailed 18, whilst Arkadiy Mkrtychyan (95) delivered 9.

Urartu adds Zakharov to their roster - 26 days ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) added to their roster 21-year old Armenian swingman Nikita Zakharov (200-86kg-95). He played last season at Arsenal in the Superleague 2. In 27 games he had 3.9ppg and 2.4rpg. Zakharov represented Armenia at the European Championships U20 Division B in Szekesfehervar (Hungary) last year. Superleague 1 newcomer BC Urartu strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old Armenian international forward Andrey Konstantinov (196-95). He played most recently at Arsenal in the Superleague 2, but left the team in Nov.'15. But in 7 games he recorded just 0.9ppg and 1.4rpg last season. Pogosian starts his pro career at Urartu - 28 days ago

BC Urartu (Superleague 1) agreed terms with 21-year old Armenian international forward Mikael Pogosian (203-95). Pogosian is a dual citizen owning also Russian passport. He just graduated from Thiel (NCAA3). Pogosian has played there for the last three years. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
