Armenia U16-Switzerland U16 81:63

Armenia achieved a historical win to advance to the Qualifying Round in Division B of the U16 European Championship. The underdogs won over Switzerland 81:63 as three teams in the group finished with 3-2 records. Due to the better difference in the game between each other, Armenia left Sweden and Switzerland out of the Final Eight.
Armenia opened the game with 22:16 and Arkadiy Mkrtychyan (95) made two free throws for 24:19. He brought his team 36:24 midway through the second period and scored for 40:28. Bozic closed the first half at 40:29 as Switzerland could not match with the opponents. Armenia added 25-14 in the third period for 65:43, while Switzerland won the last stanza 20-16.
Arkadiy Mkrtychyan and Andrey Konstantinov (95) poured in 20 points each and added 21 rebounds together. Sergei Pogosyan (95) posted 11, while Sergey Polukhin (95) followed them with 8. Mathias Tolusso (186-G-95) delivered 15 points for the Swiss side and Arnaud Cotture (200-F/C-95) netted 12.

Herbalife Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) signed 23-year old American (has also Armenian passport) center Luke Fischer (211-111kg-94, agency: Three Eye Sports). He just graduated from Marquette (NCAA). Fischer has played there for the last three years. In 32 games he had 10.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.7bpg last season.
