Bosnia and Herzegovina opened U16 European Championship in Division B Qualifying Round with victory. They overcame Armenian counterparts to improve at 2-0 record in Group F. Nedim Buza (201-F-95) stepped up with 25 points to pace the winners. Armenia fell at 0-2 record in the ladder.
Bosnia and Herzegovina made a big step towards the victory in the opening quarter. They outscored Armenia 21:12 in the first ten minutes to ensure a comfortable buffer. Bosnia and Herzegovina maintained the lead throughout the second term. Moreover they posted a 43:29 halftime advantage. Armenia picked up the tempo in the third term. They fired 21 points but still faced a 13-point deficit with one quarter to go. Armenia got as close as seven points midway through the final period. But Bosnia and Herzegovina answered with a 10:0 run to clear off for good. Bojan Lulic (196-F-95) provided 14 points, while Adi Zahiragic (185-PG-95) and Sanin Omerovic (192-G-95) netted 10 points each in the win. Andrey Konstantinov (95) responded with 22 points for Armenia. Sergei Pogosyan (95) accounted for 16 points in the loss.

In 6 games he averaged 10.2ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.0bpg this season. O'Brien also played earlier that season for Urartu Yerevan (Superleague 1) in Russia where in 9 Pepsi LBL games he had 14.2ppg, 10.4rpg and 1.6spg. Niksa Bavcevic has been appointed the head coach of the Armenian National Team. The Croatian specialist has spent two last seasons in Switzerland. He has been working with BBC Monthey. Niksa Bavcevic led the team to Swiss League Cup titles in 2016 and 2017. He used to work in Romania, Croatia, Belgium before. Divina Seguros Juventut Badalona (Liga Endesa) signed 30-year old American (has also Armenian passport) point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst). He already started the season at Urartu Yerevan in Russian Superleague 1. In 9 games he had very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg this season.
