Israel U16-Armenia U16 72:76

Israel made it to the semis despite the loss to Armenia at the U16 European Championship in Division B. Three teams finished with 1-2 records in Group F, while Israel had better difference amongst Hungary and Armenia. The latter won over Israel 76:72 but finished fourth in the group.
Israel opened the game with 19:16 as Zalmanson closed the period with a jump shot. Sergei Pogosyan (95) tied the game at 24:24 and his three-pointer gave Armenia 27:26 lead. Later Arkadiy Mkrtychyan (95) tied it all at 31:31, while Itay Segev (195-F-95) made the same at 38:38 at the halftime. Both teams nailed 22 points in the third quarter to stay together and only in the last period Armenia managed to grab the win. Trailing 70:71, Armenia erupted with 6-0 run and then Naor Sharon (191-PG-95) closed the game from the free throw line.
Andrey Konstantinov (95) stepped up with 14 points for the winners and Sergey Polukhin (95) as well as Arkadiy Mkrtychyan posted 12 apiece. Sergei Pogosyan followed them with 11 points in the winning effort. Naor Sharon delivered 14 points in defeat and Itay Segev added 12.

He already started the season at Urartu Yerevan in Russian Superleague 1. In 9 games he had very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg this season. ESSM Le Portel Cote d'Opale (ProA) agreed terms with 30-year old American (has also Armenian passport) forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point). He already started the season at Urartu Yerevan in Russian Superleague 1. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5spg this season. Todd O'Brien signs 2-year deal with Urartu Yerevan - 4 months ago
BC Urartu Yerevan (Superleague 1) added to their roster 27-year old American center Todd O'Brien (211-110kg-89, college: UAB). Both sides agreed on a 2-year deal. The last clube O'Brien played at was Sagesse in Pepsi LBL where in 13 games he had very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 13.2rpg (leader !!!) and 1.0apg.
