Todd O'Brien
BK Ventspils (LBL) inked 28-year old American (has also Armenian passport) center Todd O'Brien (211-110kg-89, college: UAB). He played recently at Sagesse in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. In 6 games he averaged 10.2ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.0bpg this season. O'Brien also played earlier that season for Urartu Yerevan (Superleague 1) in Russia where in 9 Pepsi LBL games he had 14.2ppg, 10.4rpg and 1.6spg.
His team made it to the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals in 2008.
O'Brien is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). O'Brien has played previously professionally in France (Nantes), Japan (Orange Vikings), Poland (MKS Dabrowa Gornicza), Qatar (Al Arabi) and Latvia (Jekabpils).
He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham until 2012 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
