Flying Foxes earned the AWBL title. They defeated BK Duchess at home court to sweep the title series. It was the sixth title for Flying Foxes in their history. Nikol Soulis (190-C-85, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) nailed 22 points to pace the winners. The hosts erupted for 30 points in the opening quarter to build a 17-point lead. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the second quarter. Flying Foxes maintained the lead posting a 49:32 halftime advantage. BK Duchess went on a 17:11 run in the third term to cut the deficit to 11 points. But the home team regained control in the fourth period. Flying Foxed limited their opponents to just 3 points in the final stanza to clinch a comfortable win at the end. Kachine Alexander (174-PG-89, agency: LBM Management, college: Iowa) provided 14 points, while Jana Lichnerova (190-C-76) had 15 for the winners. Nina Suritsch (189-F/C-84) answered with 19 points for BK Duchess. Sophia Plank (178-G/F-83) accounted for 13 points in defeat. Nikol Soulis was named the MVP of the Finals after the game.
Flying Foxes continued their dominance in Austrian basketball. They added another trophy to their impressive record. They edged BK Duchess to claim the Austrian Cup title. Kachine Alexander (174-PG-89, agency: LBM Management, college: Iowa) scored 16 points to lead the winners. She was named the MVP after the game. Flying Foxes limited their opponents to 12 points in the opening quarter to take a 5-point lead. BK Duchess however did not allow their opponents to clear off in the second term. They stayed aggressive and cut the deficit to 4 points at halftime 28:32. But Flying Foxes gradually improved their performance. They established a 51:43 lead with one quarter to go. BK Duchess were held to 8 points in the final quarter and had to surrender at the end. Dawn Evans (170-G, agency: LBM Management) notched 12 points in the victory. Diana Picorusevic (165-PG-92) and Katharina Podoschek (168-G-80) answered with 10 points each in the loss.
