Flying Foxes - Union Hainaut 62-53

Flying Foxes managed to beat Union Hainaut on Wednesday 62-53 handing them first EuroCup loss this season. However, the French squad already booked a spot for the next stage and this game was not so important for them. The Foxes improved to 2-3 in Group D, while Union Hainaut slipped to 4-1. Nikol Soulis (190-C-85, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) stepped up for the hosts with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton (188-PF-86, agency: LBM Management, college: Purdue) (10 rebs) and Petra Steger (177-SG-87) helped with 13 points each. On the other side, visitors got 18 points and 14 rebs from Petra Stampalija (189-C-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas). Amisha Carter (186-PF-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Louisiana Tech) also scored 18 pts, but to go with 5 rebs. Quarters: 21-15, 17-8, 8-16, 16-14. Next week, Flying Foxes will meet Lemminkainen in another home game. Union Hainaut will host Granca for the first place in this group.

An exciting game was played in Vienna. Leader Flying Foxes faced second-best Basket Flames. Guests from Wien (13-0) defeated host Basket Flames (11-4) 74-59. An exciting game was played in Wien. Second ranked Basket Flames faced 4th ranked BC Vienna. Guests from Vienna (11-3) smashed host BC Vienna (3-10) 76-38. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Flames. BC Vienna managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
