Big Monday! 4 in a row - Mar 1, 2012

We've won our last four games, we're streaking like Will Ferrel in Old School through the quad to the gymnasium. Bring you green hat!
We had a huge game Monday night against Vienna. Last time we played them we embarrassed them by 30 in their gym. This timethe game was on TV (SKY-Austria) and they were looking for revenge. Adding a little spice to that meal, is the fact that they picked up Bryant Matthews (What's good B). The same Bryant Matthews our management released not too long ago. The story lines in this game could go on forever. Obviously both teams had more than enough fuel for the fire. For me individually the motivation was playing against another great player (Stejpan Stazic), and trying to stop him from scoring 50 on us.
We played well defensively as a team against Vienna which led to a very big win for us. We're positioned pretty well now as far as the playoffs are concerned. And we're probably playing our best basketball of the season, although we're missing Max on both ends of the floor.
NBA??? Did anybody else watch the NBA dunk contest and decide you wanted your money back; even though you didn't have to pay to watch it? Maybe they should pay us to watch, because that was terrible! No disrespect to the participants, I appreciate their effort. The set up was poor, all the gimmicks involved were poor. It was just an overall poor job by the NBA. The field for next year's Dunk Contest should be LeBron, DRose, Blake Griffin, Rudy Gay, Igudola, Westbrook, JR Smith and John Wall. Make it happen!
Dear Austrian league how do we go about implementing a skills contest in All-Star day, I'm positive I would win that contest.
My Bears are struggling right now, here's why I'm not worried. Because we have Kyle Weems and Keith Pickens arguably the best offensive (Weems) and defensive (Pickens) players in the league. The Bears are the kind of team that can get real hot, real quick. Let's hope that happens in St. Louis for Arch Madness ('Arch Madness' is the MVC tournament held in downtown St. Louis near the Arch). Good luck fellas!
Quick 'Arch Madness' story, my junior year (2004) we were playing SIU (ranked in top 15 at the time) in the semi-finals. During introductions I remember looking up into stands and seeing nothing but maroon (SIU's team colors are similar to ours). The lights were low, the music was loud and the fans were going nuts! And I just remember being so overwhelmed with excitement and emotion that I cried, it was awesome. One of my favorite memories from 'Arch Madness'
Shout Outs:
S/O to former Bear and MVC media rep Derrick Dockett (@ddocket follow him on twitter) he's done a great job covering Missouri Valley Conference basketball, as well as other MVC athletics this year.
S/O to Lyndall Scranton (@Lscranton on twitter, hit the follow button ) from the Springfield News Leader. Does an amazing job covering the Bears, and was/is always outstanding to work with. It's not easy to follow a team through wins and losses, remain partial and still report honestly letting the readers form their own opinion. But Lyndall makes it look easy.
S/O to my boy Diddy, not puffy. I'm talking about Blake 'B-Diddy' Ahearn (@BlakeAhearn follow his fan page on twitter). He played extremely well in the NBA D-League All-Star game, proud of you brotha!
Joke Time:
A man and his wife began arguing after this simple question and answer
Wife: what's on the TV?
Husband: Dust!
BOOM!
