BK Mattersburg Rocks win 2.Basketball Bundesliga as they beat UKJ Hypo Mistelbach in the Final. The second team of the Regular Season overcame the favorites 88:81. David Geisler (186-G-80) was named MVP of the tournament.
BK Mattersburg Rocks started with 21:18 lead and continued their dominance in the second quarter. They produced a 30-19 surge to take 14-point lead. Moreover they led 17 points, but managed the opponent to reduce in the game. UKJ Hypo Mistelbach won the third quarter 23-16 to cut it to 7. Both teams nailed 21 points each in the last stanza for the final result.
David Geisler top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Jason Forrestal (204-F-69, college: Benedictine, IL) nailed 16. Stefan Ulreich (184-G-85) notched 15, while Joey Vickery (180-G-67) scored 12. Daniel Gajdosik (189-G-80) replied with 30 points in the losing effort and Vladimir Sismilich (195-F-85) netted 16. Ivo Prachar (206-F/C-82) delivered 11, whilst Singer added 6.

Club Deportes Puente Alto (Liga Nacional) landed 28-year old American swingman Jemal Farmer (195-98kg-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Blacktop Management). He played most recently at Basket Swans Gmunden in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 31 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.9apg in 2015-16 season. The Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions announced two signings for the upcoming season. Kevin Payton is coming from Wels where he played for the former WBC since 2015. Payton had to deal with a couple of injuries in the last years. He was limited to just three games during the 15/16 campaign.
