Slovak Republic destroy Austria in the friendly game between two sides. The Slovakian team celebrated a 121:38 win.
Slovakia started with 36-6 lead and never looked behind after. They added 29-14 in the second period to take 65:20 lead at the halftime. Moreover the second half also belonged to the home side. Slovakia won the third period 23-13 and finished the game with 33-5 in the last stanza.
Romana Vynuchalova (192-C/F-86, college: Penn St.) top-scored for the winners with 16 points, while Klaudia Lukacovicova (193-C-90), Ivana Jalcova (182-G-83) and Timea Sujova (173-G-84) posted 14 each. Cernakova netted 12 and Tetemondova scored 11. Takacs and Plank replied with 7 points in the losing effort and Nora Kampitsch (181-C-88) added 6.

Flying Foxes Post SV Wien (AWBL) inked 22-year old American guard Danaejah Grant (175-94, college: St.John's). She played in the summer at Washington Mystics (WNBA). This summer Grant was drafted by Washington Mystics (WNBA) in third round (31st overall). She just graduated from St.John's University and it is her first season in pro basketball.
