Austrian National Team played two friendly encounters versus Czech Republic U20 selection. Austrian team claimed two narrow victories.
The first game was a tough battle from start to finish. The Czechs led by a single point 37:36 at halftime. Austria turned things around in the third frame. They held their opponents to 7 points to take the lead. Austria then hung on to it clinching a narrow 61:60 victory at the end. Julia Koeppl (187-F/C-91) stepped up with 12 points for Austria. Sophia Plank (178-G/F-83) added 11 points, while Nina Suritsch (189-F/C-84) contributed 8 points for the winners.
Austria started the next game more aggressively. They grabbed a 25:14 lead at the first break. The teams traded baskets in the second quarter as Austria secured a 42:31 halftime advantage. But Czech Republic increased the tempo in the third frame. They outscored Austria to narrow the deficit at just 4 points with ten minutes remaining. Austria had to adjust their defence in the fourth quarter and they did holding their opponents to 8 points and claiming a well-deserved win at the end 68:60. Julia Koeppl netted 13 points for Austria. Sarah Schicher (188-F-90) had 11 points, while Sophia Plank and Eva Breuer (168-G-83, agency: Warren Sports International) banked 7 points apiece in the victory.

An interesting game for Flying Foxes (14-0) which hosted in Wien 4th ranked ATUS Gratkorn (4-12). Top-ranked Flying Foxes had an easy win 108-48. The game without a history. Flying Foxes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. An exciting game was played in Vienna. Leader Flying Foxes faced second-best Basket Flames. Guests from Wien (13-0) defeated host Basket Flames (11-4) 74-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Basket Flames. Basket Flames were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. AWBL Round 14: Basket Flames beat BC Vienna in the most crucial game of the week - 15 days ago
An exciting game was played in Wien. Second ranked Basket Flames faced 4th ranked BC Vienna. Guests from Vienna (11-3) smashed host BC Vienna (3-10) 76-38. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Flames. BC Vienna managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
