Apollon beat Xion Dukes in Klosterneuburg in the opening game of the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie. The team from Cyprus grabbed 78:70 victory before the next appearance at home. Xion Dukes started better and won the first period 18-13. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime. Moreover Apollon posted two narrow wins in the second half to win the game. American forward Brandon Brown (201-F-85, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: CS San Bernar.) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard MaJic Dorsey (185-PG-81, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: S.Indiana) accounted for 12 points and 10 assists. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Apollon players scored in double figures. Bosnian power forward Ramiz Suljanovic (205-F/C-79) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Christoph Nagler (196-G/F-84) added 14 points respectively for Xion Dukes in the defeat.

2.Bundesliga Round 14: #1 Mustangs are defeated by Raiders - 1 day ago
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Mustangs (11-2) in Villach on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Raiders (8-5) 84-65. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Mustangs. The game was mostly controlled by Raiders. Mustangs managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. After three seasons playing for the BKM Rocks Mattersburg in Austria second league, David Jandl (180-PG-84, agency: Court Side) is back in the ABL. He debuted for the BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers on Sunday when the team secured a tough road win over the BK Dukes Klosterneuburg.
