Apollon enter EuroChallenge Regular Season after another victory over Xion Dukes. The team from Cyprus overcame the Austrian side 96:90 and won by 14 points in total.
Apollon started the second game with 8-point advantage after the Austrian trip. They erupted with 30-21 in the first period and led 15 points in total. Xion Dukes did not give up and produced 29-19 in the second frame. Apollon however needed two narrow victories in the second half to seal the total success. They won the third period 28-24 and finished the game with 18-17.
MaJic Dorsey (185-PG-81, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: S.Indiana) paced all the winners with 24 points and Brandon Brown (201-F-85, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: CS San Bernar.) posted 23. Marvin Jefferson (206-C-86, college: Idaho) collected 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Kai Williams (190-F-88, college: S.Dakota St.) added 12. Christoph Nagler (196-G/F-84) nailed 17 points in defeat and Jason Chappell (208-F/C-83, college: Wisconsin) scored 16. Curtis Bobb (198-G/F-78, college: Utah St.) delivered 13, while Ramiz Suljanovic (205-F/C-79) and Damir Zeleznik (185-G-80) notched 12 apiece.
