Mahalbasic, who plays in Poland. He could not help Asseco Prokom Gdynia (1-4) to beat Montepaschi Siena (2-3). Mahalbasic scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. But the sixth-placed Asseco Prokom Gdynia was crushed 101-66 on the road by the higher-ranked Montepaschi Siena (#4) in the group B of Euroleague. Mahalbasic's overall stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 2FGP: 54.2% and FT: 36.4%. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

Matej Kljaic
Matej Kljaic
#3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U16 international forward Matej Kljaic (193-91, currently plays in Croatia), who plays in the Croatian A1. Kljaic was not able to help Djuro Djakovic (3-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance Djuro Djakovic was crushed 84-62 in Darda by the higher-ranked (#3) Vrijednosnice OS. Kljaic scored 13 points and added 3 passes in 40 minutes. It was Djuro Djakovic's third consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Kljaic's fourth year with the team. This season he averages only 5.5ppg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 38.9% in the six games. Kljaic is another player who holds two passports: Austrian and Croatian. Despite he played previously for the Croatian U18 national team, Kljaic played also for the Austrian U16 national team in 2007.

Anton Maresch
Anton Maresch
#4. Shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a River Andorra's victory against the closely-ranked Leyma Basquet (5-1) 73-61 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. He scored 9 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Maresch's overall stats this year are: 9.2ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5apg. He is also Austrian national team player.

Thomas Schreiner
Thomas Schreiner
#5. International point guard Thomas Schreiner (195-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Anton Maresch and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game. Schreiner managed to help B.C. River Andorra in a victory against the closely-ranked Leyma Basquet (5-1) 73-61. He scored 5 points and added 4 passes in 23 minutes. It's Schreiner's first season with the team. Schreiner belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #6 with 3.7apg. This year he also averages: 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.7spg in the six games.    #7. Former U18 international swingman Nizar Kapic (198-92, currently plays in NCAA1) couldn't help the Rice (0-0) in their game against the University of St.Thomas, TX (1-0) in the NCAA. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Kapic used to play for the Austrian U18 national team three years ago.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Austrian passport:

#1. Ebuka Anyaorah (193-G-90, currently plays in NCAA1), who plays in the NCAA could not help the N.C.Central (0-0) to beat the Wichita State University (0-0). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Anyaorah scored only 2 points. It was his first game for N.C.Central this season. The N.C.Central was defeated 71-57 on the road by the Wichita State University. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Anyaorah is a naturalized American.
