Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Austrians who are currently playing abroad.

Rasid Mahalbasic
Rasid Mahalbasic
#1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Poland. He could not help Asseco Prokom Gdynia (1-6) to beat Unicaja Malaga (6-1). Mahalbasic recorded 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. But the sixth-placed Asseco Prokom Gdynia lost 48-63 on the road to the leading Unicaja Malaga in the group B of Euroleague. It was Asseco Prokom Gdynia's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Mahalbasic averages: 6.7ppg, 5.1rpg, 2FGP: 53.8% and FT: 35.7% in the seven games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

Benjamin Ortner
Benjamin Ortner
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St., currently plays in Euroleague). Ortner contributed to a 2-point Montepaschi Siena's victory against the closely-ranked Maccabi T-A (5-2) 89-87 in the Euroleague last Friday. He recorded 6 points. Montepaschi Siena (4-3) is placed third in group B. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Ortner's overall stats this season are: 4.6ppg, 1.8rpg, 2FGP: 52.6%. He is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

Anton Maresch
Anton Maresch
#3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain). He was not able to help River Andorra (3-0) in their game against Palencia Baloncesto (6-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Maresch scored 5 points. his team was defeated 87-81 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Palencia_Baloncesto (#3). But the season just started, so everything may happen. Maresch's overall stats this year are: 8.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 32.1% and FT: 70.4%. He is also a member of the Austrian senior national team.

Jason Detrick
Jason Detrick
#4. Small forward Jason Detrick (195-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in EuroChallenge) contributed to a 1-point Apollon's victory against the leader Gravelines-Dunkerque (2-1) 89-88 in the EuroChallenge last Tuesday. Detrick scored 7 points in 26 minutes. Pizza Express Apollon Limassol (1-2) is placed fourth in group G. There are only three games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Detrick's overall stats are: 5.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg in the three games. He is a naturalized American. Detrick is also Austrian national team player. He used to play for UBC Stahlbau Oberwart Gunners in Austrian league.

The list of other players, who all have Austrian passport but never been selected to any of Austrian national teams:

#1. Jamie Kohn (195-G-89, college: E.Connecticut, currently plays in United Kingdom) led Tees Valley Mohawks to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Leeds Carnegie (3-1) 89-74 in the British EBL D1 (second division) on Saturday night. Kohn had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists in 39 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Kohn's first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Tees Valley Mohawks (4-1) is placed third in the EBL D1. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Kohn's first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Kohn averages: 16.0ppg, 8.7rpg, 3.7apg and 1.7spg in the three games he played so far.

#2. Ebuka Anyaorah (193-G-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) led N.C.Central to an easy victory against the Toccoa Falls College (2-1) crushing them 94-40 in the NCAA on Tuesday night.
