American Tyler Tiedeman (201-F-85, agency: Interperformances) had an amazing evening in the last round for Wels and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds and nine assists for Wels as his team was edged out by Furstenfeld (5-5) 95-93. Wels moved-up to the 7th position in the Austrian A Bundesliga. Wels is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 5th lost game this season out of 10 games. Tiedeman turned to be Wels' top player in his first season with the team. Boise State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tiedeman is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.5ppg. Tiedeman is in league's top in assists (8th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 73.2% FGP and 44.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American forward Robert Arnold (198-F-88) of Gmunden. Arnold impressed basketball fans with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he lead Gmunden to another comfortable win 89-71 over slightly lower-ranked Gussing (#6, 5-5) being unquestionably team leader. Gmunden's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Arnold is well-known by Gmunden fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Mark Sanchez (201-F-87, agency: Court Side) of second-ranked Kapfenberg. Sanchez showcased his all-around game by recording 11 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Kapfenberg, leading his team to a 85-62 easy win against the lower-ranked UBSC Graz (#8, 4-6). Kapfenberg needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Sanchez has a great season in Austria. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.4rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cor-J Cox (195-F/G-90) of Furstenfeld - 25 points and 5 rebounds
5. Ramiz Suljanovic (205-F/C-79) of Klosterneub. - 23 points and 5 rebounds
6. Richard Poiger (202-SF-87) of Gmunden - 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Quentin Pryor (193-G/F-83) of Kapfenberg - 15 points and 5 rebounds
8. DeVaughn Washington (202-F-89) of Wels - 26 points and 6 rebounds
9. Giovonne Woods (191-G-86) of Kapfenberg - 7 points, 3 rebounds and 11 assists
10. Marcus Heard (201-F-84) of Gussing - 16 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
