33-year old power forward Ramiz Suljanovic (205-F/C-79) put on an amazing game in the last round for Klosterneub. and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Klosterneub. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Oberwart (#9, 4-7) 91-80. Klosterneub. is placed at 3rd position in Austrian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Klosterneub. will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. Suljanovic has many years of experience at Klosterneub., through which he has constantly improved. Suljanovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.6ppg) and averages solid 64.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ali Farokhmanesh (183-PG-88, agency: Pro One Sports) of Wels. He is American-Iranian guard in his 2nd season at Wels. In the last game Farokhmanesh recorded impressive 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Wels cruised to a 91-81 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Furstenfeld (#6, 5-6). This victory allowed Wels to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Farokhmanesh is well-known at Wels and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Eric Gilchrese (183-PG-87) of UBSC Graz (#8). Gilchrese scored 20 points and passed six assists. Despite Gilchrese's great performance UBSC Graz lost 76-91 to the higher-ranked Kapfenberg (#2, 8-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of UBSC Graz not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gilchrese could try to bring UBSC Graz's a little bit higher in the standings. Gilchrese has individually a great season in Austria. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (9th best). He also has 2.2spg and FGP: 51.8%. Gilchrese attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mark Sanchez (201-F-87) of Kapfenberg - 19 points and 9 rebounds
5. Maurice Pearson (206-F/C-89) of Furstenfeld - 16 points and 12 rebounds
6. Tyrone Sally (201-F-82) of Furstenfeld - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Tyler Tiedeman (201-F-85) of Wels - 11 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists
8. Radosav Spasojevic (204-F/C-92) of Arkadia - 19 points and 12 rebounds
9. Quentin Pryor (193-G/F-83) of Kapfenberg - 11 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Curtis Bobb (198-G/F-78) of Klosterneub. - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
