Darnell
Hinson
After parting ways with guard Mario Edwards and Ivan Djerman the Oberwart Gunners have added three new players to their roster. With Darnell Hinson (186-PG-80, college: Northeastern St.) they got a new point guard. Hinson played in Poland last season. For Energa Czarni Slupsk he averaged 11.9 ppg along with 1.8 apg appearing in 37 contests. With Richard Chaney (196-G-84, college: Troy) the Gunnes got some defensive presence. Chaney last played in Puerto Rico for Atleticos de San German. He spent the 2011/2012 campaign playing in Belgium for Gent. Before that he spent a couple of years in Germany. Seamus Boxley (201-F-82, college: Portland St.) played very successfully in the Netherlands since 2008. He won a championship with ZZ Leiden in 2011 and was voted MVP in 2012.

Hinson and Chaney had their debuts yesterday in a 80:91 road loss to the defending champs Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg. Hinson starred with 27 points in defeat while Chaney poured in with 18 while grabbing 6 rebounds. Boxley was inactive and is expected to chip in on the next weekend when the Gunners host WBC Wels at home.
