American forward Robert Arnold (198-F-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Gmunden, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (19 points, four rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat UBSC Graz (#9, 4-8) 106-94. Gmunden is placed at 2nd position in Austrian A Bundesliga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gmunden will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. It's Arnold's second year at Gmunden and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Robert Arnold averages this season 16.8ppg and 5.2rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Richard Chaney (196-G-84) of Oberwart. Chaney had a very good evening with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Of course Oberwart cruised to a 82-75 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Wels (#6, 6-6). This victory allowed Oberwart to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Chaney is a newcomer at Oberwart, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international center Martin Kohlmaier (218-C-84) of St.Polten (#10). Kohlmaier scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Kohlmaier's great performance St.Polten lost 72-93 to the higher-ranked BC Vienna (#1, 10-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. St.Polten can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Kohlmaier he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Kohlmaier has a very solid season. In 12 games in Austria he scored 16.3ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and FGP: 60.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Giovonne Woods (191-G-86) of Kapfenberg - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists
5. Curtis Bobb (198-G/F-78) of Klosterneub. - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Matthias Mayer (204-C/F-81) of Gmunden - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Joe Dean Shaw (199-F-87) of Kapfenberg - 28 points and 3 rebounds
8. Joshua Brown (187-PG-88) of Gmunden - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Matias Bortolin (205-C-93) of Arkadia - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Mark Sanchez (201-F-87) of Kapfenberg - 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

2.Bundesliga Round 17: Lions are upset by Raiders - 12 hours ago
The game between third ranked Lions (10-5) and fifth ranked Raiders (10-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Lions were defeated by Raiders in Dornbirn 82-68. The game was mostly controlled by Raiders. Lions managed to win third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
