   #1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, currently plays in Poland). He led Asseco Prokom Gdynia to a victory against the league leader PGE Turow (10-3) 86-80 in the Polish TBL in Wednesday night's game. Mahalbasic recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Asseco Prokom Gdynia (9-4) is placed third in the TBL. This year Mahalbasic averages: 8.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 60.3%(44-73) and FT: 66.7% in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St., currently plays in Italy). Ortner managed to help Montepaschi Siena to win against the eighth-ranked SAIE3 BO (6-6) 77-66 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. He scored only 2 points. Montepaschi Siena (10-2) is placed third in the SerieA. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Ortner's first season with the team. Ortner's overall stats this year are: 4.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 57.1%. He is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

   #3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain). Maresch contributed to a River Andorra's victory against the ninth-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-7) 76-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. He scored 5 points and added 3 passes in 19 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. This year Maresch's overall stats are: 9.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 36.4%, 3FGP: 46.7%(14-30) and FT: 73.7% in the 12 games. He is also a member of the Austrian senior national team.

Small forward Jason Detrick (195-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Brazil) helped Bauru win their game against the league outsider Tijuca TC (1-9) 81-68 in the Brazilian NBB in Thursday night's game. Detrick scored only 2 points. Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-2) is placed first in the NBB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Detrick averages just 1.0ppg. He is a naturalized American. Detrick is also Austrian national team player. He used to play for UBC Stahlbau Oberwart Gunners in Austrian league.

2.Bundesliga Round 3: UBC St. Polten loses to Mustangs - 1 day ago

After 3 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 2.Bundesliga and who belongs to weaker ones. The most important game of round 3 took place in Mistelbach where Mustangs beat UBC St. Polten (2-1) 90-77 on Saturday night. UBC St. Polten will play next round against Raiders trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Mustangs will try to continue on its current victory against BBU S. in Salzburg. JBC MMCITE Brno (NBL) inked 21-year old Austria center C.J. Turman (206-113kg-95, college: Florida Atlantic). He was about to sign at BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers in Austria A Bundesliga. Nemanja Markovic (ex Radnik B.) joins SVO/BRG Innsbruck - 2 days ago

SVO/BRG Innsbruck (Landesliga) agreed terms with 19-year old Bosnian guard Nemanja Markovic (180-97). He has played for the last four seasons at the junior team of KK Radnik Bn Basket Bijeljina in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. But in two games he did not score anything and 1 assist.
