   #1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, currently plays in Poland). He led Asseco Prokom Gdynia to a victory against the league leader PGE Turow (10-3) 86-80 in the Polish TBL in Wednesday night's game. Mahalbasic recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Asseco Prokom Gdynia (9-4) is placed third in the TBL. This year Mahalbasic averages: 8.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 60.3%(44-73) and FT: 66.7% in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St., currently plays in Italy). Ortner managed to help Montepaschi Siena to win against the eighth-ranked SAIE3 BO (6-6) 77-66 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. He scored only 2 points. Montepaschi Siena (10-2) is placed third in the SerieA. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Ortner's first season with the team. Ortner's overall stats this year are: 4.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 57.1%. He is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

   #3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain). Maresch contributed to a River Andorra's victory against the ninth-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-7) 76-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. He scored 5 points and added 3 passes in 19 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. This year Maresch's overall stats are: 9.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 36.4%, 3FGP: 46.7%(14-30) and FT: 73.7% in the 12 games. He is also a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #4. Small forward Jason Detrick (195-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Brazil) helped Bauru win their game against the league outsider Tijuca TC (1-9) 81-68 in the Brazilian NBB in Thursday night's game. Detrick scored only 2 points. Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-2) is placed first in the NBB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Detrick averages just 1.0ppg. He is a naturalized American. Detrick is also Austrian national team player. He used to play for UBC Stahlbau Oberwart Gunners in Austrian league.

Club Deportes Puente Alto (Liga Nacional) landed 28-year old American swingman Jemal Farmer (195-98kg-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Blacktop Management). He played most recently at Basket Swans Gmunden in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 31 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.9apg in 2015-16 season. The previous (14-15) season Farmer played at Tokyo Cinq (BJ League) in Japan where in 41 games he had very impressive stats: 18.1ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.4apg. The Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions announced two signings for the upcoming season. Kevin Payton is coming from Wels where he played for the former WBC since 2015. Payton had to deal with a couple of injuries in the last years. He was limited to just three games during the 15/16 campaign. Oberwart Gunners (A Bundesliga) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American guard Prince Williams (193-88kg-92, college: E.Carolina). He played most recently at Greensboro Swarm (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 23 games he recorded 3.1ppg last season. Williams was awarded All-AAC Most Improved Player of the Year in 2016.
