Dan Oppland
28-year old forward Dan Oppland (203-F-84, agency: SportsTalent) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Gmunden and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Wels (#7, 6-8) 81-74. Gmunden maintains the 2nd position in Austrian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gmunden will need more victories to improve their 11-3 record. In the team's last game Oppland had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Gmunden, through which he has constantly improved. Dan Oppland averages this season 15.5ppg and 5.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Milan Stegnjaic (204-F/C-81) of UBSC Graz. He is Croatian forward in his 3rd season at UBSC Graz. In the last game Stegnjaic recorded impressive 31 points and 7 rebounds. Of course UBSC Graz cruised to a 90-82 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked St.Polten (#10, 2-12). This victory allowed UBSC Graz to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Stegnjaic is one of the most experienced players at UBSC Graz and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Darnell Hinson (186-PG-80) of Oberwart (#6). Hinson showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was a key player of Oberwart, leading his team to a 90-83 win against the lower-ranked Furstenfeld (#9, 5-8). The chances of Oberwart ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hinson could help Oberwart to bring them higher in the standings. Hinson has a very solid season. In 3 games in Austria he scored 22.7ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Martin Speiser (202-F-83) of St.Polten - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Jason Johnson (202-F/C-77) of Oberwart - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Hamidu Rahman (210-C-87) of Gussing - 18 points and 10 rebounds
7. Zarko Rakocevic (204-F-84) of BC Vienna - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Richard Chaney (196-G-84) of Oberwart - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Maksim Kovacevic (199-G/F-87) of St.Polten - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Marcus Heard (201-F-84) of Gussing - 10 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
