We bring you last week's top performances from Austrians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL. He could not help one of league's weakest teams Asseco Prokom Gdynia (10-5) in their last game. Despite Mahalbasic's good performance Asseco Prokom Gdynia lost 74-83 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Stelmet ZG. He scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes on the court. It was Asseco Prokom Gdynia's first loss after three consecutive victories. This year Mahalbasic averages: 9.2ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 58.5%(55-94) and FT: 66.7% in the 15 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Maresch was not able to help one of league's weakest teams River Andorra (3-0) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance his team was defeated 86-75 on the opponent's court by the leading Ford_Burgos. Maresch recorded 12 points (made all of his five free throws). Maresch's overall stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 37.3%, 3FGP: 48.4%(15-31) and FT: 76.7%. He is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

   #3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St., currently plays in Euroleague). Ortner managed to help Montepaschi Siena in a victory against the sixth-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (0-2) 98-92 in the Euroleague on Friday night. He scored only 2 points in 3 minutes on the court. Montepaschi Siena (2-0) is placed second in group F. It's Ortner's first season with the team. This year Ortner's overall stats are: 5.2ppg, 2.1rpg, 2FGP: 59.5%(22-37) in the nine games. He is also a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #4. An experienced small forward Jason Detrick (195-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Brazil) contributed to Bauru's victory against the 12th-ranked Joinville (4-7) 83-71 in the Brazilian NBB last Saturday. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 9 minutes on the court. Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-2) is placed first in the NBB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Detrick's total stats are: 1.7ppg and 1.7rpg in the three games. He is a naturalized American. Detrick is also Austrian national team player. He used to play for UBC Stahlbau Oberwart Gunners in Austrian league.

International point guard Thomas Schreiner (195-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Anton Maresch and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game. Schreiner was not able to secure a victory for River Andorra (3-0) in their game against Ford Burgos (11-2). He recorded 6 points. his team was defeated 86-75 on the opponent's court by the leading Ford_Burgos. Schreiner has averaged so far 7.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.7spg. He plays currently for the Austrian national team.

   #1. Jamie Kohn (195-G-89, college: E.Connecticut, currently plays in United Kingdom), who plays in the British EBL D1 (second division) could not help Tees Valley Mohawks (8-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Kohn's very good performance Tees Valley Mohawks was defeated 96-88 on the road by the lower-ranked London Leopards (#8). He scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Kohn belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #9) and also on the list of best rebounders (fifth place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Kohn averages: 17.0ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.4spg.

After three seasons playing for the BKM Rocks Mattersburg in Austria second league, David Jandl (180-PG-84, agency: Court Side) is back in the ABL. He debuted for the BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers on Sunday when the team secured a tough road win over the BK Dukes Klosterneuburg. American Guard Kareem Jamar (194-G-92) had a great game in the last round for Kapfenberg, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19. The 24-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass UBSC Graz (#8, 5-12) with 43-point margin 98-55.
