Darnell
Hinson
Experienced American-Puerto Rican Darnell Hinson (186-PG-80) put on an amazing game in the last round for Oberwart and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 32-year old playmaker had the game-high 41 points adding two rebounds and five assists for Oberwart as his team was edged out by Kapfenberg (#3, 12-3) 90-89. Oberwart maintains the 7th position in Austrian A Bundesliga. Oberwart is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 15 games. In the team's last game Hinson had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Oberwart's top player in his first season with the team. Darnell Hinson averages this season 24.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American forward Robert Arnold (198-F-88) of second-ranked Gmunden. Arnold impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Gmunden to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Furstenfeld (#9, 5-10) 112-84. Gmunden's second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 12 matches. Arnold is well-known by Gmunden fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Gmunden's star - international Richard Poiger (202-SF-87). Poiger scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of Gmunden, helping his team with a 112-84 easy win against the lower-ranked Furstenfeld (#9, 5-10). Gmunden is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 12-3 record is not that bad... Poiger has a very solid season. In 15 games in Austria he scored 11.4ppg. He also has 5.1rpg and FGP: 58.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ali Farokhmanesh (183-PG-88) of Wels - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Moritz Lanegger (190-PG-90) of Klosterneub. - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Seamus Boxley (201-F-82) of Oberwart - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Philipp Horvath (175-G-87) of Gussing - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Mark Sanchez (201-F-87) of Kapfenberg - 16 points and 9 rebounds
9. Jason Chappell (208-F/C-83) of Klosterneub. - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Damir Zeleznik (185-G-80) of Klosterneub. - 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
