Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg and BC Zepter Vienna will play in the Austrian Cup Final. They defeated WBC Raiffeisen Wels and Redwell-Gunners Oberwart respectively to reach the title clash in Oberwart.
Hosting Oberwart and BC Vienna hit the court first tonight. The visitors dominated from start to finish. BC Vienna recorded a 42:27 halftime lead. They still led by 10 points heading into the fourth frame. The Gunners were able to narrow the gap but came up short of victory at the end 73:77. Stjepan Stazic (199-G-78) led the winners with 20 points. Zarko Rakocevic (204-F-84, agency: Interperformances) delivered 16 points, while Ian Boylan (197-G/F-83, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 13 points for the visitors. Seamus Boxley (201-F-82, college: Portland St.) responded with 22 points for the Gunners. Richard Chaney (196-G-84, college: Troy) netted 21 points in the loss.
Klosterneuburg sealed their Final appearance a bit later. They overcame Raiffesen Wels in a tough battle. Wels dominated in the first ten minutes of the game. They ensured a 29:17 lead at the first break. The Dukes were able to cut the deficit to two points at the interval 45:47. Klosterneuburg pulled ahead in the third term. They snatched a 71:63 lead with ten minutes remaining. The Dukes hung on in the final period to secure the winning outcome 85:77 at the end. Ramiz Suljanovic (205-F/C-79) netted 24 points for the Dukes. Jason Chappell (208-F/C-83, college: Wisconsin) added 16 points in the victory. Davor Lamesic (205-PF-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with 21 points for Wels.

Kapfenberg make it to the final by winning fourth match by close margin, while Wels and Oberwart will still gonna play in semifinals, as they will have decision-maker game on 24th May. Wels - Oberwart 62-79 The game was mostly controlled by Redwell Gunners Oberwart. Raiffeisen Wels was better in second period 21-19. Dragons - Raiders 58-94 Raiders Villach cut the deficit in the 2.Bundesliga Finals. They stormed past UBC St.Polten on the road in Game 3 to open win count in the title series. The game without a history. Raiders led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wels - Oberwart 63-57 Wels overcame Oberwart to take 2-1 lead in the series. Redwell Gunners Oberwart was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 15-6 charge of Raiffeisen Wels, which allowed them to win the game.
