We bring you last week's top performances from Austrians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, currently plays in Poland). He managed to help Asseco Prokom Gdynia in a victory against the closely-ranked Energa Czarni (9-9) crushing them 85-60 in the Polish TBL in Saturday night's game. Mahalbasic scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 16 minutes on the court. Asseco Prokom Gdynia (12-6) is placed fourth in the TBL. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Mahalbasic's first season with the team. This year he averages: 8.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 57.5%(61-106) in the 18 games he played so far. Mahalbasic has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to a River Andorra's victory against the closely-ranked Meridiano Alicante (10-6) 84-80 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. Maresch recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. Maresch's overall stats this season are: 9.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 38.7%, 3FGP: 44.7% and FT: 78.7%. He is in the roster of the Austrian senior national team.

The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international small forward Jason Detrick (195-80, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Brazil). Detrick helped Paschoalotto/Bauru win their game against the 13th-ranked Minas (8-9) crushing them 91-59 in the Brazilian NBB on Saturday night. He scored 7 points in 17 minutes. Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-2) is placed first in the NBB. This year Detrick's overall stats are: 4.4ppg, 1.2rpg, 2FGP: 53.3%, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 64.3% in the nine games. He is a naturalized American. Detrick is also a member of the Austrian senior national team. He used to play for UBC Stahlbau Oberwart Gunners in Austrian league.

Point guard Thomas Schreiner (195-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Anton Maresch and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game. Schreiner helped River Andorra win their game against the closely-ranked Meridiano Alicante (10-6) 84-80. He recorded 5 points and added 3 passes. Schreiner's total stats this season are: 6.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.6spg. He is also Austrian national team player.

Douvier has played there for the last three years. In 33 games he recorded 10.1ppg and 6.7rpg last season. ECE Bulls Kapfenberg (A Bundesliga) landed 24-year old Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92) from Vienna. In 43 A Bundesliga games in Austria he averaged 13.8ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.0apg (top 5) and 1.5spg (in top 4) last season. He helped them to win the Supercup and make to league semifinals. The UBSC Raiffeisen Graz has brought back a "lost son". The club has managed to aquire national team player Anton Maresch(191-SG-91) who started his career playing for Graz. After suiting up for the UBSC in the ABL from 2007 to 2010 Maresch went on to play for the BK Dukes Klosterneuburg.
