Washington
American DeVaughn Washington (202-F-89, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) had an amazing evening in the last round for Wels and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat BC Vienna (#1, 15-4) 78-65. Wels is placed at 5th position in Austrian A Bundesliga. Wels is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-9 record. Washington turned to be Wels' top player in his first season with the team. Ohio University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Washington is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 7.2rpg) and averages solid 58.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American forward Seamus Boxley (201-F-82) of Oberwart. Boxley impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he lead Oberwart to another comfortable win outscoring Gussing (10-9) 95-74. This victory allowed Oberwart to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Boxley is a newcomer at Oberwart and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Montenegrin Radosav Spasojevic (204-F/C-92, agency: Interperformances) of Arkadia (#11). Spasojevic scored 22 points and passed eight assists. Despite Spasojevic's great performance Arkadia lost 86-90 to the higher-ranked Gmunden (#3, 15-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Arkadia can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-18 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Spasojevic he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Spasojevic has individually a great season in Austria. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Thomas Klepeisz (185-PG-91) of Gussing - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Mark Sanchez (201-F-87) of Kapfenberg - 16 points and 11 rebounds
6. Mike Oppland (204-F-84) of Gmunden - 22 points and 5 rebounds
7. Richard Chaney (196-G-84) of Oberwart - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Pablo Gamaleri (194-F-93) of Arkadia - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Milan Stegnjaic (204-F/C-81) of UBSC Graz - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Michael Anthony Dale (197-G/F-84) of UBSC Graz - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
