Maurice
Pearson
23-year old power forward Maurice Pearson (206-F/C-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team BC Vienna and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had the game-high 21 points adding eight rebounds for BC Vienna in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Arkadia (#11, 1-19) with 28-point margin 92-64. It allowed BC Vienna to consolidate first place in the Austrian league. BC Vienna have a solid 16-4 record. Pearson just recently signed at BC Vienna, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Georgetown College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pearson is league's best scorer averaging so far 16.7ppg and leads league in rebounds with 10.3rpg. Pearson is in league's top in and averages solid 1.3bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Seamus Boxley (201-F-82) of Oberwart. He is American forward in his first season at Oberwart. In the last game Boxley recorded impressive 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he lead Oberwart to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UBSC Graz (#8, 7-13) 97-59. This victory allowed Oberwart to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Boxley is a newcomer at Oberwart and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Oberwart's star - guard Richard Chaney (196-G-84). Chaney scored 20 points. He was another key player of Oberwart, helping his team with a 97-59 easy win against the lower-ranked UBSC Graz (#8, 7-13). Oberwart needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 9 lost games. Chaney has a very solid season. In 9 games in Austria he scored 18.2ppg. He also has 6.0rpg, FGP: 59.5% and 3PT: 52.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ian Boylan (197-G/F-83) of BC Vienna - 11 points, 2 rebounds and 12 assists
5. Thomas Klepeisz (185-PG-91) of Gussing - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Shawn Ray (194-G/F-80) of BC Vienna - 21 points and 4 rebounds
7. Blaz Cresnar (214-C-86) of Furstenfeld - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Hamidu Rahman (210-C-87) of Gussing - 12 points and 12 rebounds
9. Florian Trmal (193-G/F-89) of BC Vienna - 17 points and 4 rebounds
10. Giovonne Woods (191-G-86) of Kapfenberg - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
