The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Basket Flames (4-1) in Vienna on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Flying Foxes (5-0) 75-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Basket Flames. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Flying Foxes. Basket Flames managed to win second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Undefeated Flying Foxes have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Basket Flames at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. Flying Foxes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Wien BC Vienna.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Vienna (2-3) against fourth ranked BK Duchess (3-2) on Saturday night. Visiting BC Vienna was defeated by BK Duchess in Klosterneuburg 66-51. BK Duchess moved-up to third place. Newly promoted BC Vienna dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. BK Duchess will play against UBI Graz (#5) on the road in the next round. BC Vienna's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Wien to the arena Flying Foxes.
UBI Graz's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat ATUS Gratkorn (0-5) 59-42 on Saturday. UBI Graz (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. It was ATUS Gratkorn's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. UBI Graz will meet at home higher ranked BK Duchess (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ATUS Gratkorn will play against the league's second-placed Basket Flames in Vienna and hopes to get finally their first victory.

BK Duchess - BC Vienna 66-51

Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Vienna (2-3) against fourth ranked BK Duchess (3-2) on Saturday night. Visiting BC Vienna was defeated by BK Duchess in Klosterneuburg 66-51. BC Vienna was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 38-19 second half run of BK Duchess. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Vienna to just 6 points in third quarter. BK Duchess moved-up to third place. Newly promoted BC Vienna dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. BK Duchess will play against UBI Graz (#5) on the road in the next round.
