AWBL is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 10 rounds left.

An exciting game was played in Wien. Third ranked BK Duchess faced 4th ranked BC Vienna. Guests from Klosterneuburg (7-3) smashed host BC Vienna (2-8) 55-28. The game without a history. BK Duchess led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Vienna to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 11 points in second half. BK Duchess moved-up to second place, which they share with Basket Flames. BC Vienna lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with UBI Graz and Gratkorn. BK Duchess is looking forward to face bottom-ranked UBI Graz (#6) at home in the next round. BC Vienna's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Wien Flying Foxes.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Basket Flames. Undefeated Flying Foxes have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Basket Flames at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. They share the position with BK Duchess. Flying Foxes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Wien to the arena BC Vienna.
Bottom-ranked ATUS Gratkorn managed to get a second victory on Saturday night. This time they outleveled fourth-ranked UBI Graz 78-57. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference suggests that ATUS Gratkorn is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. ATUS Gratkorn (2-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with UBI Graz and BC Vienna. UBI Graz lost third consecutive game. ATUS Gratkorn will meet at home league's second-placed Basket Flames in the next round and it may be the game of the week. UBI Graz will play against BK Duchess (#3) in Klosterneuburg and hope to secure a win.

BC Vienna - BK Duchess 28-55
