Enis Murati claims Austrian A Bundesliga weekly honour - Jan 25, 2017

Enis Murati
International Forward Enis Murati (194-F-88, agency: Octagon Europe) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Gmunden and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 25 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Gmunden in his team's victory, helping them to crush Wels (#3, 10-7) with 18-point margin 93-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Gmunden maintains the 2nd position in Austrian A Bundesliga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gmunden will need more victories to improve their 13-5 record. In the team's last game Murati had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gmunden's top player in his first season with the team. Murati has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.2ppg) and averages solid 51.6% FGP and 43.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-PG-92) of Kapfenberg. Vujosevic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists. Of course he led Kapfenberg to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Arkadia (#7, 7-11) 87-67. Kapfenberg's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 10-8 record is not bad at all. Vujosevic is a newcomer at Kapfenberg and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was international center Jozo Rados (208-C-93) of Klosterneuburg (#9). Rados scored 26 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Rados' great performance Klosterneuburg lost 74-80 to the higher-ranked Vienna (#6, 8-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Klosterneuburg can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-14 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Rados he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Rados has individually a great season in Austria. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.1rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 53.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anton Maresch (191-SG-91) of UBSC Graz - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Kareem Jamar (194-G-92) of Kapfenberg - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Predrag Miletic (193-SG-84) of Vienna - 24 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Fabricio Vay (207-F-86) of Arkadia - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Cameron Naylor (201-F-94) of UBSC Graz - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Stjepan Stazic (199-G-78) of Vienna - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Marino Sarlija (207-C-89) of Furstenfeld - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
