The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (17-4) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Arkadia Lions (10-12) 80-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Redwell Gunners Oberwart. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 45-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Arkadia Lions made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Arkadia Lions outrebounded Redwell Gunners Oberwart 36-25 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. Arkadia Lions moved-up to sixth place. Defending champion Redwell Gunners Oberwart still keeps top position with four games lost. Arkadia Lions are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Dukes (#9) in Klosterneuburg in the next round. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans (#2) in Gmunden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Shawn Ray who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Vienna maintains fifth position with 11-11 record. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the third place with ten games lost. Vienna will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#7) on the road in the next round. Kapfenberg Bulls will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 24 Furstenfeld were beaten by Wels on the road 80-75. Bottom-ranked Klosterneuburg lost to UBSC Graz on its own court 48-57.

Wels - Furstenfeld 80-75

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (12-9) beat at home 7th ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (10-13) 80-75. Furstenfeld Panthers were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 43-35 second half run of Raiffeisen Wels. They outrebounded Furstenfeld Panthers 42-19 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian Marko Car (188-85) with 22 points and 6 assists and Croatian center Marino Sarlija (207-89) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Raiffeisen Wels maintains fourth position with 12-9 record. Furstenfeld Panthers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Raiffeisen Wels will play against UBSC Graz (#8) on the road in the next round. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Vienna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Klosterneuburg - UBSC Graz 48-57

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Dukes' (4-18) home loss to eighth ranked UBSC Graz (6-16) in Klosterneuburg 48-57. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-13. But Dukes won second period 13-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian power forward Drago Brcina (205-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and international Anton Maresch (191-91) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international center Jozo Rados (208-93) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and the former international center Christoph Greimeister (208-90) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. UBSC Graz maintains eighth position with 6-16 record. Dukes lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. UBSC Graz will play against higher ranked Raiffeisen Wels (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
