The Regular Season in 2.Bundesliga is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

Eighth-ranked BBU S. (6-10) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Raiders (11-5) in Villach on Sunday. Raiders managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Raiders have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Dragons and Lions. BBU S. at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Raiders is looking forward to face Flames (#9) in Wien in the next round where they are favorite. BBU S. will play against Warriors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Mistelbach. First ranked Mustangs faced second-best Rocks. Host Mustangs (14-2) defeated guests from Mattersburg (12-4) 68-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rocks. Mustangs have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Rocks at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. Mustangs will play against KOS (#7) in Klagenfurt in the next round where they are favorite. Rocks will play at home against UBC St. Polten (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Worthersee Piraten (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 82-59 loss to eighth ranked KOS (7-9) in Klagenfurt on Saturday evening. KOS moved-up to seventh place. Loser Worthersee Piraten still closes the standings. KOS will meet at home league's leader Mustangs in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Worthersee Piraten will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 18 Warriors were defeated by Dragons in St.Polten 70-52. Lions beat Flames at home 69-56.

Dragons - Warriors 70-52

There was no surprise in St.Polten where 10th ranked Warriors (3-13) were defeated by fourth ranked UBC St. Polten (11-5) 70-52 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by UBC St. Polten. Warriors managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UBC St. Polten moved-up to third place, which they share with Lions and Raiders. Newly promoted Warriors keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. UBC St. Polten will meet league's second-placed Rocks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play against BBU S. (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Raiders - BBU S. 77-75

Lions - Flames 69-56

No shocking result in a game in Dornbirn where third ranked Lions (11-5) defeated 9th ranked Flames (5-10) 69-56 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-56. Lions dominated on the defensive end, holding Flames to just 6 points in second quarter. Lions maintains third position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Mustangs, which they share with Dragons and Raiders. Loser Flames keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Lions will meet Timberwolves (#6) in the next round. Flames will play against Raiders and hope to secure a win.

Mustangs - Rocks 68-63

The BK Klosterneuburg Dukes have added some offensive firepower. The club signed Ex ABL MVP Fabricio Vay(207-F-86, agency: Interperformances) from local rival Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions. Vay was the second leading ABL scorer last season putting up 19.4 points per contest. In addition to that Vay grabbed 8.8 rpg making him the third best rebounder of the league. Hapoel Beer Sheva (National League) signed 24-year old American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-88kg-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe). He played last season at Redwell Gunners Oberwart in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 41 games he had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.8spg (in top 3).
