The most important game in the last round took place in Wels between third ranked Raiffeisen Wels (13-10) and sixth ranked Vienna (12-13) on Saturday night. Raiffeisen Wels were defeated by Vienna in a tough game at home 70-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Raiffeisen Wels. Raiffeisen Wels were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Vienna, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-94, college: Iowa) who scored 22 points. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) chipped in 22 points. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Vienna maintains sixth position with 12-13 record. Raiffeisen Wels at the other side keep the third place with ten games lost. Vienna will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Raiffeisen Wels will play on the road against Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Chris McNealy contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Carl Baptiste (208-90, college: Delaware, agency: Diamond Sports) replied with 18 points for Kapfenberg Bulls. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-4 record. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Dukes and hope to get back on the winning track.

The game in Graz supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Arkadia Lions (12-12) played at the court of 8th ranked UBSC Graz (6-18). Arkadia Lions smashed UBSC Graz 108-51. Milovan Draskovic notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arkadia Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Arkadia Lions' next round opponent will be higher ranked Raiffeisen Wels (#3) at home and it may be quite challenging game. UBSC Graz will play against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans (#2) in Gmunden and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 26 Gmunden defeated Klosterneuburg in Gmunden 70-53.

Oberwart - Kapfenberg 73-62

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Oberwart. First ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart faced 3rd ranked Kapfenberg Bulls. Host Redwell Gunners Oberwart (20-4) defeated guests from Kapfenberg (13-11) 73-62. Kapfenberg Bulls were ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 47-31 second half run of Redwell Gunners Oberwart. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The game in Graz supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Arkadia Lions (12-12) played at the court of 8th ranked UBSC Graz (6-18). Arkadia Lions smashed UBSC Graz 108-51. The game without a history. Arkadia Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 28. Arkadia Lions forced 20 UBSC Graz turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Arkadia Lions shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 72.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by UBSC Graz's players. Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-95, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) supported him with 13 points and 16 assists. Five Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by center Armin Domitner (201-94) did not help to save the game for UBSC Graz. There was no surprise in Klosterneuburg where 9th ranked Dukes (4-20) were defeated by second ranked Gmunden Swans (17-7) 70-53. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Dukes was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans forced 22 Dukes turnovers. International forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 20 points, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American forward Austin Steed (203-88, college: E.Carolina) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds by international center Jozo Rados (208-93) did not help to save the game for Dukes. Forward Jurica Blazevic (199-94, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points for the hosts. Dukes' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
