Moritz
Lanegger
London Lions (BBL) added to their roster 27-year old Austrian international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90). He played last season at Team FOG Naestved in Danish Ligaen. In 23 games he recorded 7.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.0apg and 1.4spg. Lanegger helped them to win the cup. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Danish Ligaen Honorable Mention. He also played that season for Manchester Giants where in 6 BBL games he averaged 10.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 4.0apg and 1.2spg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Lanegger's team won Austrian Supercup for two years in a row (2013 and 2014).
He has been also a member of Austrian international program for some years. Lanegger has regularly played for Austrian senior team since 2010 and previously for U20 National Team between 2009 and 2010.
He also represented Austria at the Qualifications to European Championships 2017 last year. His stats at that event were 6 games: 2.8ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.7apg.
Lanegger has played also professionally for other Austrian teams like Dukes, UBSC Graz, Kapfenberg Bulls and Gussing Knights.

The biggest surprise took place in Mistelbach where host Mustangs (4-0) beat league's leader Lions (3-1) 74-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lions. It was a key game for the top position in the league. 26 personal fouls committed by Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunit...   [read more]

American Center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-C-94) put on an amazing game in the last round for UBSC Graz, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 20 rebounds, while his team UBSC Graz moved-up to the 9th position in Austrian A Bundesliga.
